"This was our second stay and we really enjoy this hotel. It is very clean and the staff is very helpful. We had our luggage shipped from Tokyo several days before we arrived and they held it for us. The rooms are small but that is expected in Japan. The beds are very comfortable though and it is very quiet. There is laundry machines, and the hotel has breakfast and public baths but we haven't used them. The hotel gives you recyclable bags and some other amenities (toothbrushes, etc) you can keep. The location is unmatched - you can get to Kyoto station in about 2 minutes and a conbini is along the wall to the station so quick access for coffee or snacks. The only complaint we have is this time we stayed at Kaguya (we had been in Miyabi before). Despite choosing a nonsmoking room, you have to pass a smoking area (room with a door) to get to the elevators where the Kaguya rooms are. This was smelly and we really didn't enjoy it. We would not stay on that side again if we could avoid it. We were in a traditional Japanese style room with tatami. I am unsure if they have tatami rooms on the Miyabi side."

"Right next to Kyoto Station so very convenient for public transportation. Only a 5 minute walk. 7eleven access directly from the hotel was super useful for getting provisions for the day. Rooms are very clean and spacious."
