The stay was overall good and we had a good time visiting places in the town. The inn was pleasant and breakfast was very good. The room was nice but rather old with some chipped paints and a crack in the shower wall. The inn keepers were friendly. Unfortunately, they had us convert the sofa bed to the bed for one of us to sleep in, even if they said they would do it for us. Our second day was July 4th, and to our surprise the inn keepers were gone the entire day and our repeated phone calls were never answered. We had a situation that needed an immediate assistance but we had to figure it out ourselves. The inn keeper apologized the next morning and said that it was his day-off, but we found it unprofessional not to have someone on site to assist visitors. Needless to say, our room was not made because no one came to clean it while we were out.

I'm sorry that no one returned your calls, made your futon or remade your room. The gals finish the rooms between 2 and 3 depending on how full we are. Rooms occupied or with do not disturb signs will sometimes get missed as we are a small inn. As for the innkeeper getting a day off, a few hours is all he gets. I accomplish that by letting voicemail answer the phones. So if you are a guest here and you need something, please leave a voicemail. Calling repeatedly will not help. On busy holidays and weekends, I could spend the whole of my life answering calls telling potential guests that we are full.
