This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Palace Resort, 1st time was great second time we were not as impressed, our room and surrounding the room was dirty, the front of the refrigerator had food splattered all over it, tiles around the bathroom falling off, mold under the sink from a long time leak, still dirt on floor. Otherwise a good place to stay for the money .

The room was nasty and the room door was damaged to the point I had to use a towel to keep it closed. The sink and tub was clogged up to your ankles. The blanket on the bed had stains and the remote for the ceiling fan and light had no batteries this was an awful experience

On the beach

Love the Palace. I stay here whenever visiting Myrtle Beach. The only thing that threw me off was that they quit breakfast. Figured it was because of the time of year, but felt I should of been told. overall, great trip!

we loved it!

Pros: loved it
Cons: the parking garage
Location: everything is near by.
we had a wonderful time. The only bad part was the parking garage was having construction done and it was hard to find parking places.

Palace Resort

I was very happy with my room, hotel location and staff. I don't complain much and travel by myself so the moldy shower curtain didn't freak me out.

Not what we expected

We reserved a 2 bdrm Ocean Front Room. I assume since it said Ocean Front thats what we would get..WRONG..I was informed there was NO ocean Front 2 bdrm rooms..only the sun suites are ocean front. It plainly says Ocean Front 2 bdrm. on their site. We also waited 3 hrs to get checked in. The room was dated and one bdrm smelled of urine for the aver 150 a nite rate we certainly expected better. I have stayed here in the past and was very pleased and have always recommended them to others but not any more. we were given a 75.00 credit back to our card..the second balcony over looked the parking garage. It was by far NOT Ocean Front..I will be looking for another place to stay for our future visits..When I asked about it not being ocean front I was RUDELY given the answer " there is that little word "angle" in the reservation..she said the ones closer to the beach are called Ocean View..I will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone any longer..dont be fooled...you are not getting Ocean Front...there was alos trash left under the kitchen sink, liquor bottles and drink boxes that had not been cleaned out.

Bad experience palace resort 2009

When you see cheap prices remember thats what you paying for. My family went here the week of fourth. The staff was very hateful. My family had to change rooms because the first they put us in was very very nasty trash and food under the beds nasty. We spent our first day waiting for another room to move our things into. The next room was not to much better. alot of the things like the dvd player did not work they would tell me the rooms was owned by timesharers they had nothing to do with this and could not fix this. I really did not care if it was the timesharers room or not if I payed the money for this room I wanted everything to work. The hotel really needs new mangement. My family tried to stay away from our room because of the disappointment in our room. I did not cook because did not want to eat in the room.
