Throughout my 4 night visit, The fire alarms went off every day. One instance the fire alarm went off at 3 a.m . which was both disruptive and concerning. To make matters worse, the new york fire department arrived at the property on several instances, only to find no real emergency, which further added to the noise and unease. What frustrated me most, however, was the lack of transparency regarding the extent of the renovations in the building and the impact it had on the mechanical systems. I believe guests should have been informed in advance about these ongoing problems, especially when it significantly impacted their comfort and safety. it was by far the most unsettling stay I have had at any hotel.

The fire alarm went off at 3am - according to the front desk, it went off in reaction to the steam from someone's shower. That was really bad and lasted for WAY too long. The next afternoon it went off again - and wasn't a fire. It was very hard to trust the alarms after that.

Close to a subway. Staff friendly. Room was basic but comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast was a bag of items from Pret- banana, granola bowl and orange juice- same everyday- when booking the advert stated continental breakfast. The hotel is being refurbished and apart from a sign in lobby no notification of this. To get mini fridge stocked you have to request at reception. Expensive for what you get!

The hotel fire alarm went off several times during my stay and it was unpleasant to be in the room. First time was around 3am and later that day in the afternoon. The problem was eventually solved but it was an experience I never thought would occur.

Staff was great and hotel was very clean. That was a wonderful part of the stay. The photos on the listing are very misleading, as our room was nothing close to what was shown. Dated furnishings, bathroom door that didn’t close right, shower door didn’t close right. For the money spent, it didn’t feel like the value was there. I could have stayed somewhere cheaper for the same experience.

After many disappointing hotel experiences, I am happy to share that Hotel Park Ave. has finally won my award for that perfect mix of space, customer service, luxury, and home away from home amenities.
