Staff was rude and inefficient. Room was nasty and unsafe. Sofa mattress was stained with urine. Hair was in the silverware drawer. Nails were protruding from the kitchen drawers. Air conditioning vents were clogged. Handle on door came off. Etc. Etc. Etc. Worst hotel ever!

After reviewing the detailed notes that each shift is required to provide at the end of those shifts, the only note that was reported to our team from your room, was that assistance was needed with the TV. During your 4-night stay with us, management was available from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. & would have been more than happy to address your concerns. This would have given us an opportunity to correct any issues & make every effort to insure your stay was a pleasant one. We are very sorry that you had such a negative experience while staying with us.

Studio Suite was excellent. One often pays twice for the quality of room. Full kitchen. We didn't notice where the thermostat was, our own fault, tired and didn't really look too hard. Room was very warm, 20 degrees warmer than we usually sleep. We had to laugh in the morning when we saw the thermostat set at 78°F!

Candlewood Suites in Hampton

My experience staying at the Candlewood Suites was very enjoyable. The location was excellent, in very close proximity to all my activities. The room was clean and the staff saw to all my needs.

BIG mix-up

To make it short and "stinky" they put us in a smoking room when non-smoking was requested and listed on the reservation confirmation (and we have a 17 mos old baby). After entering the room I can tell it was a smoking room by the smell. The ash trays didn't help either. They lied to us the first night and said it was non-smoking. The front desk attendant gave us some spray and said "Oh this should work". We couldn't sleep and asked again in the morning if the room was smoking. The day manager fessed up and said their where not other rooms availble that night and it was indeed smoking. It took an act of congress to move us and NO apologies where given. We were eventually moved but it had already put a kink in our plans for the day. Manager was very reluctant to refund us for the first night but eventually did. Will never stay there again.
