Modern Berkeley craftsman conveniently located in the heart of Berkeley. Perfect for 1 to 4 guests. Close to UC Berkeley (1.6 miles), downtown (1.2 miles), Bart (1.0 miles), theatre, museums, and fabulous restaurants including Homemade Cafe, Breads of India, Jaunita and Maude's, Acme bread, etc. Enjoy our comfortable home's light, comfy beds, cooks' kitchen, radiant heated floors, high beam ceilings, and skylights. Our cozy craftsman is perfect for vacationers, foodies, single business traveler or multiple business travelers, families w/kids, couple(s), etc.

The charming 3 bedrooom is filled with artistic flair, warmth that will make your stay as comfortable as home. Accommodates 1 to 4 guests. The 3rd bedroom is entered through the master bedroom. All the amenities of home including laundry, full kitchen, heated floors, apple tv not cable tv, comfortable beds. All linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc. provided.

Taxis, Uber, etc. take minutes to arrive, Enterprise and more Rental Car companies are 1.3 miles away. Downtown and North Berkeley BART are both 1 mile walkable (15 minutes), bus stop is 1 block away and less than 2 miles from the freeway. Easy to get anywhere in Berkeley from our home.

This house was great. Quaint and accommodating with a beautiful courtyard that was fantastic for sitting out on sunny days. Host, Dugger, was great. He was communicative and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Responsive hosts, convenient location, very clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Nice garden to sit in. Only one step up to get inside and no steps inside which was important for my elderly relative. (Just note for less mobile folks the shower is in a full tub so they may need help to navigate).

Perfect Bay Area Oasis

Clean, spacious home with really nice outdoor patio space, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to several cute breakfast stops and close to Bart and grocery store options. This was the perfect place for my family’s five-night stay in the Bay Area to use as a quiet home base while being able to get to San Francisco and other areas easily. Hosts are very communicative and helpful. We loved everything about this property and our stay! Highly recommend.

The house is really a home

Lovely artwork and looks bigger than the pictures. House was clean with newer kitchen appliances. We only made coffee and toast for breakfast. Yet, kitchen had everything that you would need to make a full meal. One suggestion, don’t forget slippers as the polished cement is pretty but cold in every room except the bedroom. Dugger was communicative and extremely easy to work with, despite a bit of a hassle with VRBO in terms of the app confirming and cancelling my booking. The home served our purposes, although those not looking to drive should know that there are not lots of large grocery stores or several restaurant options in immediate walking distance, which was not an issue for us since we only needed a landing pad to spend time with friends.

Fabulous

This is the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in. The pictures are accurate, the property is lovely , and Dugger is an ideal host. Dugger was communicative, responsive and kind. I stayed there with an infant and young child and the home was well suited to all family members. When my older kid lost a favorite toy, Dugger was kind enough to search for it thoroughly. All in all, this made for a great jumping off point for a Berkeley family vacation!

Perfect Berkeley stay!

Comfortable well appointed house in a great location! Perfectly clean and very easy check-in process. Dugger responded very promptly to one small issue and was quite welcoming. One of our favorite VRBO stays, and we’d love to stay there again if we’re in the area.

Practically Perfect!

We could not have found a better place to stay with a more considerate host! The house itself is charming, with a bright, well-stocked kitchen and a garden made for lazy afternoons. The internet was strong enough for streaming, for those that needed their dose of Wordle or Netflix, and the beds were comfy. We were there during a heatwave, and the owner kindly brought fans which cooled the house down quickly in the evenings for sleep. The house is at the back of the lot, well away from street traffic in a quiet residential neighborhood. There's a corner market two blocks away for essentials, good coffee within a few blocks, and the North Berkeley BART within walking distance, so we didn't need a car. The house itself was great for our needs, but what put it over the top was the consideration and kindness of the host.

Wonderful comfortable home that was a home away from home

Wonderful comfortable home that felt like a home away from home! I was a little hesitant at first because of the price was out of our budget. But we received everything that we hoped for and more. The house was very lovely and accommodating and very assessable for all of our needs. Yet at the same the adjoining neighbors were barely noticeable and tolerated our coming and going’s. It felt so wonderful to be in Berkeley in such a ‘Berkeley’ home. All the commodities that we needed to cook and entertain our few friends and each other. Even a water filter and Coffee french press! The queen bed and the linens (lovely cotton) were delightful and so comfortable. The down pillows made me not even miss bringing my own. We enjoyed our stay very very much. If I could afford it; I would come and stay for a retreat in the ‘poets corner’ for a whole month and write and paint. Thank you so much Dugger for everything. All the art and all the lovely furnishings were perfect. We loved being so close to everything and feeling comfortable to walk as women in the neighborhood at night. We visited with our cousin who lives in the Berkeley Hills. We visited the Monterey market for an amazing selection of fruits and vegetables beyond your imagination, Magnani poultry for organic chicken (Best price in California ), Italian sausages and cheeses and olives, Cesar Chavez park, the Bulb, The native botanic garden and the amazing Lake area in Tilden Park, The Berkeley Marina, and even the Berkley Libary to renew a CA library card. A Berkeley Oasis

Nestled in Poets Corner is an unsuspecting Berkeley Classic, with a private, gated entrance that leads you to your first look - A large, serene front yard of beautifully kept succulents, flowers and other plantings set against the house and surrounding it. There are areas for seating to take in the beauty while enjoying your morning coffee or reading a book. An outdoor dining area under a pergola is a perfect spot to share a family meal be it from the grill, the gourmet kitchen or take-in. The home is immaculate and well-kept. Each bedroom had all the comforts of home including comfy mattresses, spacious closets, and work space. The bedrooms were well-insulated for sound, as we were traveling with our one-year old grandson, who slept peacefully every night. The large living room was perfect for our group of four adults and one child to gather and relax with amenities of games, books, television and is lovingly decorated with pictures and art objects. The kitchen is a chef's delight and includes all the amenities this chef needed to cook some wonderful findings from Berkeley Bowl! The bathroom was spacious and toiletries provided luxurious. Dugger was a delight - the perfect host and was accessible if need be by phone to answer any questions necessary although he did cover all the bases prior to arrival thoroughly and succinctly. This was our first VRBO experience and we could not have been more pleased. We would definitely not hesitate to book this lovely find again and again!
