Do Not Book This House!

This was the worst vacation renal experience I have ever had. Tropical Escape Vacation Homes is a scam...the pool was green and unusable and they wouldn't give any fee reduction. The fridge did not cool...the cabinet door were off and busted in the kitchen...the security gate was did not work. I will never stay in a Tropical property again

Amazing for Large Group

We just returned from staying at this property. First, the house itself is amazing & we would absolutely stay there again. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. I was worried about having enough space for the 16 of us, but there was plenty of room. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cups, glassware & flatware for our large group (though it was missing some basic kitchen items like a colander), and between the large dining table & the bar area there was plenty of seating. The location in the neighborhood added to its value, as it's on a cul-de-sac making parking multiple cars easy. There are no backyard neighbors, just the golf course, and only one house next door which added to privacy on the pool deck. The pool deck was spacious, with lots of covered area w/seating as well as loungers for sunbathing. There was a grill on the pool deck, but it needed cleaning & there was no propane so we didn't try to use it. We had a lot of fun in the game room in the evenings, playing pool & air hockey. Don't expect the game equipment to be in perfect shape (the ping pong table is crooked & only one pool cue was usable), but for our needs it was just fine. Overall, this house is an incredible value. All that said, we did have some issues during our stay that were a challenge to have addressed: the pool spa jets didn't work, there were no kitchen linens (including oven mitts), and the movie system in the theater room was inoperable upon our arrival. We placed a call the morning after our arrival and were told a work order would be put in. We had to call a second time the next day to ask what the status of the work order was, and we were told it was being elevated to the manager. Another day went by and we made another phone call regarding all the items needing attention. Someone finally came on day five of our 7 day stay to fix these items (though we still never received any kitchen linens). They issued a 1 night refund for our trouble, so they did try to make it right, but when you rent based on certain amenities at the house & they don't work, it is not unreasonable to expect to have them fixed much faster than that. Once the theater room was operable, it was incredible, so hopefully future renters will not have an issue with it. A couple suggestions: ceiling fans in bedrooms & a fan in game room would be nice (it's in the garage which can get a little stuffy).
