The staff were exceedingly kind, helpful and amazing. The rooms show significant signs of wear, tears in furniture and lack of cleanliness. I get the impression that the property is banking on chain recognition and location for guests to overlook conditions. I think if they are older guests or guests intimidated to drive in crazy Pittsburgh traffic, they will overlook the glaring flaws of this location.

Upon arrival I had to deposit 75 dollars for my stay which I was unaware of prior. I got to my room and the a/c unit didn’t work so I was switched to a different room. In the second room the a/c worked but after I showered I noticed that the shower head was leaking. The second night the shower head was leaking even worse but I was busy with work items so I decided just to place a wash cloth over it to control it for my stay since I had already had issues with my previous room and didn’t want the hassle of the second issue. When I checked out on my final day I let the front desk know about the shower issue so that it could be fixed for the next guest. When I got home I check to see if my 75 dollar deposit had been returned only to find out that I had been charged 50 dollars for what I’m assuming was the shower head that I didn’t break. I’ll never stay at this location again

Great Property

Have stayed here several times in the past. Unlike so many other properties, this hotel gets better with time. Great service, very clean and well kept, and better than average breakfast. Highly recommend when in Pittsburgh.
