My sisters and I stayed here and would definitely stay again staff was amazing food was really good, we loved the options of three different pools, the beach was great! The only thing we would suggest is more pool chairs and maybe not the beach cabana by the volleyball net!

This resort was amazing. The room was spotless every day, all the staff were incredibly kind. Gerado stood out the most to us he was very nice and made sure we were taken care of every day when we were at the pool. I proposed to my now fiancé on this trip and booked a private beach dinner and also had our room decorated and Alejandra made sure everything was set up for that and made the night stress free, she was very kind to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I have stayed in FA PVR several times so was excited for this new opening in Riv Nay. I anticipated some hiccups because of this new ownership and so there were many really good parts to the stay and several areas for improvement. The grounds and pools are emaculate - constantly being cleaned.The surrounding concreted areas need a real power clean. Great security around pool area and kudos to the guard that wears the camo hat - he is constantly on the move, tidying up, identifying problem areas, looking out for safety issues!! Not enough chairs and lots of empty spaces!! And the brown rattan chairs should be replaced. - no wheels, or one missing wheel or holes all over. 95% of the staff were GREAT - friendly, smiling, helpful and really made the effort to ensure an enjoyable stay so i don;t want to mention just a few names. There were others, usually in the a la carte restaurants that gave the impression the sooner you were in and out the better. Fresh fruits and salads and bakery area had lots of fresh choices but needed better monitoring (frequently no margarine, jam, no cups or glasses, serving spoons etc) Hot entres were hit and miss - e,g, covers left open so everything got cold, eggs station great and efficient. Ala carte, very inconsistent in quality between appetizers and main and quality in general. Pool service was generally very good. Rooms very spacious, oddly furnished though, glass shower and toilet area needs major refurbishment! AC worked great!!

Resort is very nice with several large pools and nice sandy beach. Nightly entertainment and complimentary use of boogie/body boards. The staff are excellent from Edgar at the front desk, to Froylan/Daniel/Rosario/Irnesto/Fabiola and amazing Omelette chef Mario at the breakfast restaurant, Arturo (Shaquille) at the beach bar and Ezekiel/Alan as the entertainment hosts. Each one of them made a special effort to get to know us during our stay especially Froylan and Arturo. The rooms were nice also. A good variety of restaurants but this is also where some improvements could be had. The food was good but one critique would be there is some inconsistency in dinner service across the restaurants with orders getting missed on occasion. Breakfast was great (go see Mario) and lunch at the fish taco place was great. Inconsistency mainly at the steakhouse although the Salmon there was very good.

We needed to move 2 times due to issues with the assigned room. The first room had security issues as the balcony door was missing a lock. The toilet plugged easily. The second room safe displayed error message and a repairman was needed 3 days in a row. Then the deck outside displayed a major leak that caused the ceiling to become unsafe. We were told we had to go. The third room assigned middle of our stay we discovered had a failing ceiling bulb that flashed on/off blinking all night. Repairman came and was able to fix the wall switch so it could be turned off. Bulbs were to be ordered. This room after that was very good over all. Restaurant Sushi Bar: Family got sick after eating there. A peak at the preparation area showed easy cross contamination. As I weight this I’m home for 2 nights and I’m still sick..

Not enough pool or beach chairs. We did not know that there was a condo complex involved with the property. The condo dwellers took over all chairs in both areas and was never places to relax. Hotel room was excellent but our fridge and towels were never replenished daily. Had to ask nunerous times. There should be a kids play area and eparate pool because they werr eating and drinking in pool and adults were always getting i trouble for having a covered cup. Especially with condo complex there should be a separated swimming pool for kids. Buffet needs to be definitely upgraded. A lot of sloppy stews and concautions that werent familiar. Not enough options. Restaurants were great and bar staff, we had some good waiters and bartenders throughout resort. When we checked in we thought we had ocean or front of resort by what the pictures were online. We were overlooking the road and trees. We asked to be moved but they wanted a $700 or $1300 upgrade. Half of resort wasn't booked.

Staff was great. Room was cleaned daily awesome beach front. Some things I did notice was not enough chairs around all pools and some restaurants seemed under staffed when busy but other than that I enjoyed my stay had a great time

This was not what was advertised two out of the three buildings are condo living! During the day there is minimal to no music played due to condos. Also don’t be surprised if you get complaints if to loud around the pools due to condos. There is no swim up bar or exciting night life as all bars except for the lobby is closed early! When there is entertainment of any kind it’s held in the parking lot drive way of the main lobby!! If you thought you were signing up for a partial ocean room just know that’s only seen before entering your room. There is a big disappointment in food as the buffet is often closed at night. in the mornings you have limited options for selection and no variety change. You will only get bacon if you ask the egg station. Also noted that if you have any mobility issues this resort is not the most accessible. lots of stairs without ramps to main areas such as the pool bathrooms and some elecartes. The sushi bar is a beautiful location but unfortunately could use a lot more tables as many waited hours before being seated. Noted a lot of staff on their phones including manager staff instead of attending to customers. Positives the resort is clean and majority of the staff is friendly. The view at sunset from the sushi bar on the 9th floor is beautiful! Overall very disappointed to have spent hard earned vacation money here!!

Food selection was limited and the watered down Mexican coffee was awful. Thank goodness for the coffee shop! The room was great - good size, comfortable bed and couch. Only having 1 working elevator much of the time was annoying. There was only 1 evening entertainment in our 2 weeks so having no TV on 3 nights was frustrating. Pools were lovely. Extra time spent asking for rooms at every dining venue seemed pointless as it’s an all inclusive resort. Promised diet soda never was provided and on 3 days the room had still not been cleaned by 3 pm.

When you walk into your room the bathtub is the first thing you see...no wall just the tub. The shower and toilet are behind a glass wall. Not divided from the rest of the room. It would be weird to stay in that room with anyone other than a spouse. The resort is over run by black birds and the poop on everything. You can't find a chair without poop on it. Birds poop all around the pool and in my two week stay it wasn't cleaned. Mini bar is a 50/50 chance it will get filled most of the time you have to call the front desk and that includes water. Constantly out of towels and I mean constantly. All lounge chairs are reserved before 8 am everyday so don't think you're going to relax around the pool. There is no store that is advertised. The strange thing was when we arrived we got a yellow bracelet to wear that identifies that you got your reservation in Expedia. Never found out why the staff had to know that but after 2 weeks I felt like others with different color bracelets got better service. Friendly staff but after breakfast they where always short handed.
