Dear Roger, thank you for filing this review of your stay at our well-located hotel in downtown Quebec City. Standing in the heart of THE new trendy area in Quebec City, Quartier Nouvo Saint-Roch, our property is close to all the attractions, activities and festival going on in Quebec City throughout the year. You are attending one of the many festival taking place during the summer like FEQ, the biggest music festival in Canada? Or you want to live the unique experience of the Quebec’s Winter Carnival and tag along with its famous spokesperson Bonhomme? All these major events are really easily accessible from our location whether by foot, city bus or a vehicle with our proximity to 2 major highways, 440 going east-west and 73 going north-south. Our neighborhood also hosts Stade Municipal where you can watch home games the Quebec’s Capitales, the Frontier independent baseball league team, a perfect family activity. Then, we are sorry you thought the price of our parking was a bit too expensive. We price our valet service at 27.00$ plus taxes per night with free, unlimited in-and-out access privilege to your car, a rate that favorably compares to what other downtown hotels offers for similar services. If ever that option does not seem to fit your needs, as you pointed-out, several public parking are easily accessible from our drop-off zone and offer some less expensive rates, but then they don’t always allow free unlimited access to the vehicle. To conclude, I would like to remind our customers that, despite our regular check-in time being set at 3:30pm, we will be more than happy to find you a suitable room if you do arrive earlier, although we can never guarantee we will be able to do so. To this, well I would simply like to thank again for sharing your thoughts on our well-located hotel in downtown Quebec City, hoping you will return soon.

Great Short Stay

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, swimming pool
Cons: parking
The hotel was great for the price paid. It was a very short stay so I did not had the time to try the pool or gym. The hotel was clean and the people very friendly. Only bad side the price of the valet parking is quite expensive. I would definitely recommend it.

Room itself is spacious and clean but bathroom is a little small. I didn't like the soap in the bathroom. It felt and smelled like clothing soup in the old times. Beds are very comfortable. Valet is convenient and if you want valet, self parking is under the building cross the street at cheaper rate. Walking to the old Quebec is about 15 minutes up the hill.

Dear customer, thank you so very much for filing such a thorough and accurate review of our hotel near Old Quebec City. We are indeed a very short walk away from Saint-John’s gate, the main gateway through the fortifications overlooking the historical area in Quebec, 15 minutes to be exact, up Côte d’Abraham. This means that all the most famous attractions of our very touristic town are easily accessible like the Chateau Frontenac, the Citadel, Battlefield Park on Plains of Abraham, Quartier Petit-Champlain and the Old Port along with the many more I should mention would you have enough time to spend reading about them. To learn about all the activities and landmarks in Quebec City, there is no better tool than our front office personnel and their vast knowledge of the sites you should pay attention to. With their friendly attitude and willingness to help, they will be able to optimize your daily planning by recommending the best way to reach the choses attractions and activities, whether it is walking or by bus. Speaking of means of transportation, we do offer valet service at the price of 27.00$ plus taxes per night with free, unlimited in-and-out access to your vehicle. Although it is true that several public parking lots, like the one under our front-door neighbor Tour Fresk, do offer some less expensive rates they do not always include the quite convenient unlimited access to your car as our service does. To conclude, we are glad that you found our beds, made of natural memory foam mattresses wrapped in a deluxe, silky triple sheet linen to be very comfortable. This is one of many high-quality amenities we provide all our visitors to make sure they enjoy their time at our hotel near Old Quebec City and we thank you for expressing your appreciation in this review. We hope to see you back soon. Best regards!

Very good location and accommodating staff. I left something in the room when I checked out and it was in the mail to me the next day. On the minus side, $26 a day for parking is pretty high.

Dear Nelson, thank you for sharing your thoughts on your stay at our hotel with good staff in downtown Quebec City. This particular aspect of our product is truly one of our strength as you can see from the numerous comments that goes on to praise the friendly, caring and polite attitude of our employees. Our front office agents are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to make sure that everything goes smoothly during your stay with us and we strongly encourage our guests never to hesitate to seek their help. As for our parking, we are sorry you thought it was a bit pricey. At 26.00$ plus taxes per night with free, unlimited in-and-out access privilege to your car 24 hours a day 7 days a week, its rate is favorably comparable to similar services offered by other downtown hotels. Public parking are easily accessible from our location and do represent a less expensive alternative, although they do not always offer unlimited access to the vehicle and both our front office agents and valet attendants can efficiently guide you to those lots. So then, thank you for this review of your stay at our hotel with good staff in downtown Quebec City, hoping you are going to come back to our establishment on your next trip. Best regards!

Clean, safe, comfortable, short walk to Old Quebec

The room was as appeared in other traveler photos. The beds were VERY comfortable! I was looking for something reasonably priced, safe for solo traveler, clean and walking distance to sights. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to Old Quebec which was fine for me. There was a minor mix up when I had requested late checkout that was cleared up. Otherwise, it fit everything I was looking for.

Dear Cat, on behalf of all our employees here at Best Western Plus City Centre, I wish to thank you for this detailed and helpful review of your stay with us. We value any input we can get from our guests, as it is the best way to improve the quality of our product. To begin, I couldn’t agree more with you in regards of describing our product and services as well as our location. The comfort of our beds is due to the fact that all our rooms are equipped with natural memory foam mattresses from Essentia, which provides the best support by shaping around the contours of your body for a maximum level of comfort. Then, as you mentioned, we are located just a few minutes walking distance from the touristic area of Old Québec, 1.3Km to be precise, so all the main attractions, including the Cruise terminal and the train bus station, are easily accessible from our hotel. Public transportation are a good alternative to walking, as many bus routes passes right next to the hotel, and will get you up there in no time. To conclude, may I add that our neighbor, Place Jacques Cartier, is ongoing major constructions, so noise level can be higher than usual during operation hours, which are from 7:00am through 5:00pm. Although this situation is totally out of our control, we wish to apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause, and that we are deploying all possible measures to prevent it from impacting our guests experience. Thank you once again for taking some time to comment on your stay with us, and we hope to welcome you once again on your next visit to Québec City. Best regards, Jean-Pierre Gagné – Hospitality and Guest Experience Manager.

Learn French in Québec!

Pros: Everything! Comfort, ease, air conditioning!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: One block away from a major shopping street Rue St.Jospeh. Also close distance to bus stops brat transportation and also great walking area.
The Best Western Hotel Centre Ville couldn't have been more perfect for my purposes of studying French at the Ëcole Monde just a block away! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The concièrge was always available to answer questions and direct tourists. My room was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with amenities. There are many food options at the hotel and in the immediate area. The area is safe for walking and in a fun area for shopping.

Dear Karen, I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to post your comments concerning your recent stay at the Best Western Plus City Center Quebec. Your feedback is very much appreciated and I can assure you that we use this information to do everything possible to always improve ourselves and create enjoyable experiences for each of our guests. I am happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and the perfect score given is very generous of you. Indeed, Quebec City being is French speaking city. A lot of visitors often feel like they are in France! Actually, there is even more than the language that we inherited from our French cousins. This heritage can be seen in our architecture, our culture, our food for instance. I am glad you practice your French! Now, I wish to inform all travellers of important changes in the urban landscape near the hotel. Effectively, as part of on-going efforts to improve the St-Roch district, revitalizing work is currently underway at the Place Jacques Cartier. The active phase of the work is Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Consequently, the sound level may be slightly higher during this period. While this is completely out of our control, we would like to apologize for any possible inconvenience. Rest assured that our staff is totally dedicated to making your stay the most enjoyable. Again, thank you for this such positive review. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we look forward to welcome you again the next time you are in Québec City. Cordially.

Quebec City

Pros: Friendly staff, good food and service in restarant!
Cons: The hot tub and pool were not clean! did not try them again.
Great spot to start our walking tour of Quebec City. Not a short walk to centre of town, but, loved climbing the hills and seeing all the side streets. Well worth it. Great weather!!.
