This is a quiet hotel and we found it great value. We had a room with a view of the harbor and mountains beyond. Hot complimentary coffee and tea were always available. We ate breakfast there several mornings- the buffet is lovely. It is an additional cost, but all of the food tasted homemade with a wide variety for a range of tastes. We did have dinner there a couple of times after a long day touring, and enjoyed Gull beer, a local draft quite a bit. The food was simple but tasty. There were a couple local restaurants nearby, but we didn't check them out, preferring to relax in the hotel after our long days touring. Although this is a few blocks away from the city center (tourist area), we met our tour busses at a bus stop nearby or they met us at the hotel itself. We easily walked over to the city center each day. Our room was on the small side, but comfortable for two. The staff are friendly, and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely recommend.

Overall, loved this hotel. Lovely style, great view and the breakfast was delicious (didn't try dinner). Walkable to the main shopping & restaurant areas but is far enough that it's quiet. Flybus Iceland provides drop off/ pick up from for airport transfers. Most attractions (lagoons, tours, excursions) also offer pick up/ drop off at this hotel, which is convenient if you're not planning to rent a car. I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to go back to Iceland.

It seems we were located in a warehouse district and quite a far walk into town and because of the warehouse district. It was very noisy starting at 6 AM in the morning and woke me up every morning. The rooms are very very, very small very hard to maneuver in.

Hotel was really removed from the town where most of the restaurants, shops and sites are located. Should have done a better job of researching. Pricing was competitive with luxury offerings and hotel was far from luxurious. Hotel photographs better than actual.

The Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel was very clean and the staff was wonderful. The only issue I had was that room service did not make the room up daily. Other then that our stay was wonderful.

Nice property w. Restaurant and bar but a bit removed from city center in walking distance. Staff is friendly and helpful and available at all times in front desk. My biggest disappointment was the beds that are uneven and lumpy and difficult to rest on. Otherwise everything else worked out well.
