The Hideaway of Silver Terrace

This ground level, tucked away unit is in a very central neighborhood of San Diego and is minutes away from most of San Diego's major attractions.

Guest access is controlled by an electronic lock that uses a pin number that is provided to the guess upon arrival. Guests will have access to the backyard bbq'ing area.

The host can be an interactive as the guests desire. Upon arrival, the if the host is available he generally will try to meet the guests to welcome them. From time to time he is unable to meet them and when this occurs the guests are free to enter the house immediately up on arrival.

The little known name of this small neighborhood just south of the University of San Diego is called Silver Terrace. It is a very centrally located one just minutes from numerous highly popular destinations such as: Sea World, Mission Bay Park, Mission Beach, Old Town, Downtown, Fashion Valley Mall and La Jolla. Within a 10 minute walk you'll be within range of a trolley stop, multiple coffee shops, brewery tasting room, numerous restaurants, and a YMCA.

Morena Vista Trolley stop is located within a 5-minute walk from the house. From there, it's possible to go to Little Italy, the Gaslamp District, Fashion Valley, Qualcomm Stadium, and even further east out to SDSU.

This is the ideal place for a couple due to it's location to so many family friendly attractions San Diego has to offer. Additionally, for longer term stays that require the use of laundry services, the host will provide the washer and dryer located in the unit's garage free of charge.

Strong communication with the host. Great location! Very clean. Would recommend a little more seating and/or a foot stool or coffee table (maybe less storage shelves) to make the space a little more relaxing, but overall worked very well for what we needed. Seemed like the art in the bedroom and bathroom was missing (was present in the photos), which is not a big deal, but did make it feel more bare. Also, the cover on the mattress is LOUD/squeaky when you move around. Maybe there's another option? Being so close to USD, we would likely stay again. Overall would recommend for two people.

It is a lower level apartment, with plenty of room for 4 people. The brand new inflatable mattress was very comfortable for my niece to sleep on. Street parking was readily available .It was very clean. And plenty of coffee supplied for our 4 day stay. Would stay again

Clean, well maintained property. Great location. Close to beaches, restaurants and Old Town. Very comfortable there although I must comment that the squeaky bed needs to be taken care of. Would stay again. Recommend for two folks.

There was some garbage left on the shelves, needs two fold chairs of some sort for sitting by tv (couch fits 2). Neighbors smoking weed and cause our place to wreak. Lights went out and we contacted Jimmy and he was right there to help check the breaker that popped. Pretty sure the listing had parking listed not street parking.Still a great place to stay overall.

This place was perfect for my needs, nice quiet neighborhood, convenient to my conference and plenty of restaurant options. And close to Mission Bay with all of its options. Nice to have laundry onsite too. Definitely would stay again

This place was chosen because it was close to my mom's care facility. It was pretty quiet for being so near to a university. We walked to Giovanni's for dinner and would have walked to Old Town if it hadn't been so humid. It IS very close to most of San Diego's major tourist attractions. The trolley/light rail station is close enough that a car is optional.Not a place to hang out at but a great alternative to a hotel or resort.

The Hideaway was perfect for what we needed and close to Sea World and Old Town. The house was clean and easy to access, super cute too! My toddler loved the slide in the backyard and the outside table was great for her messy eating. The only things we would change, if it was up to us would be to have a larger couch, it seats 2 and the bed is noisy when anyone moves an inch. We would definitely stay again when visiting SD!

Nice place, excellent area!

Jimmy’s stay was perfect for my friend and I’s quick girls trip to SD! He was very communicative and even accommodated an early luggage drop off for us since our flight arrived in the morning.The property was conveniently located and a quick 10-20 min drive to most places around the city. As two girls traveling alone, we also felt very safe and comfortable.The space was more than enough for the two of us (we were mainly there to just sleep and get ready), though it might be a tighter squeeze for a family. We definitely appreciated the booklet of clear check in and check out instructions and recommendations around the area!A couple things that would have been nice were a coffee table in front of the couch and shelving in the shower so we didn’t have to leave our toiletries on the floor.Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend and stay again! Thank you!!

Perfect short term stay!
