Stayed here annually for many years when it was a Best Western hotel. It is under new management without the BW franchise now. Many of the amenities (ice machines, washers and dryers , etc.) were either down or missing. Room was clean and adequate and staff willingly provided a needed rollout bed for a third person. Breakfast offered less variety but was adequate. The good news is that the room rate was significantly less than the BW rate.

Not the Marriot, but it served our purposes. Needed a good place to sleep and facilities operating at standard. It met that for a reasonable price...

Nice place to spend a night. Staff was friendly, room was reasonably clean and quiet. The hotel could use a little sprucing, but we were happy with our night’s stay. We did not use the pool or have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. It was great of the staff to offer an early breakfast to accommodate Ironman attendees.

The property is nice, beautiful setting. Staff are excellent. The only downside is the “breakfast”. They had some bagels, breads, cereal and a waffle maker. A far cry from the excellent restaurant that used to be there.

We stayed here during the Lake Placid Ironman. The hotel was fine and the staff were friendly. However, like all other hotels in the area, the price was probably more than double what it should be for a hotel like this. All the hotels around here seem to jack their rates way up during Ironman.
