"Great city centre hotel "

"The Orchard Hotel is a really nice place. It was peaceful and calm and set in a lovely area. There were rabbits in the gardens and a deer was spotted in the grounds. The hotel was very relaxing, with a lot of seating and a bar in the middle. The restaurant was quiet on the day we had dinner and the food was very nice. The room was spacious with a huge bed. There was plenty of light coming in through the massive windows and good lighting inside. The bathroom lighting was ok but not bright enough to do makeup - I was getting ready to attend a wedding. The TV channels available was quite disappointing. Apart from that, a very good find. I had booked 3 rooms for 2 nights but had to extend the stay for 2 rooms by one more night - very easily done on the hotels.com app. The only thing I would say is that the hotel did try and take the payment in the morning before we had arrived. I didn't realise we could have used the gym and pool so missed the opportunity "

"Nice hotel, got some great parts done ok parts. Check in on Saturday was very slow. Not sure why, but it took 25 mine to get checked in as some customers ahead of us, seemed to take forever to get resolved. Not sure why that was, staff, systems, or booking issues... Who knows, but with only 2 people before us, 25 mins is not great. The hotel is nice though,service is good, rooms are good, no real complaints. The lifts are very slow though and we thought they would break at any time.... Overall though,not a bad stay abd rooms were nice and quiet and comfortable which is the most important thing. "
