Located close enough to Taos Plaza to walk, yet just far enough away to avoid congestion, El Pueblo Lodge is a fun stay with beautifully manicured landscape and extremely friendly staff.

The visual of the property was not as we expected, they had an old dilapidated “hippy bus” parked on the property. We arrived and asked if we could check in early, they told us that the room was ready (because no one had used it yesterday), BUT, that if we wanted to check in early there was a $25 charge. We wanted to cancel our reservation and were to no, “non-refundable”. We were so turned off by the property we just left, never checked in! We had purchased the insurance but don’t know it that would apply here?

Loved the friendliness of the staff members, the cleanliness of the room and the attention paid to the upkeep of the property. It was within walking distance to shops and eateries. Had a wonderful experience. Not only are we looking forward to a return visit, we would recommend it to our family and friends! Breakfast was a great experience as well!

Very nice! The hotel property is clean and well kept. They offer a spacious outdoor area for people to relax outside and play corn hole or Frisbee or a simple game of catch. The rooms are spacious and clean. They offer an outstanding breakfast buffet which is included in your nightly rate. Very friendly staff too! I highly recommend this hotel!

Overall positive

Overall nice hotel; however, the door lock didn't work and the AC needed to be replaced, so we had to be moved to another room. Pluses: coffee machine was available at any time; homemade salsa with chips was also pretty appropriate. The room is great: authentic look, nice matress, pillows, freedge, microwave were also there.

A Great Stay

El Pueblo Lodge is an old motel just a 10 minute walk from the plaza. It has been renovated very nicely. Bathrooms updated, southwestern decor. Their breakfast is included, and is very good.

What a wonderful, relaxing, spacious room and setting. Sitting on the front porch after a long day of touring was very gratifying. The staff were welcoming and the homemade chocolate chip cookies were a bonus.

Fabulous buffet breakfast! High-end burritos, tamales, scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy, bacon sausage, toast, yogurt all of it! My only complaint out of the whole trip was most of the plugs in our room did not work. No elevator.
