We loved this house. It was clean with clear directions on how to use everything. We spent a lot of time at the big round dining table, chatting, eating, laughing and having fun. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, as well as plenty of plates, glasses, and even includes sharp knives. One night we started a fire by the outdoor dining table and another, we sat for hours under the stars by the outdoor fire pit. The hot tub was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Taos. Caregiver replied rapidly whenever I had questions.

Perfect for groups

House was clean, and perfect for groups - there are enough nooks and crannies for everyone to find their own spot when they want to get away, and the kitchen and outdoor spots are big enough for everyone to come back together. Weather was hot outside but the house never got uncomfortably warm inside. Will book our next stay here.

Magical Thanksgiving Getaway

We had a group of friends and family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was amazing and they have thought of everything you could possibly need. As a group, we all hung out in the main kitchen area. The house was absolutely magical and the accommodations were grand. Our entire group enjoyed everything about our stay. We will be back again. This was our second stay at Hacienda Encantada!

Family Trip

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. I have never stayed anywhere with a dream kitchen like this that was stocked this well. The location feels private while also being only a short drive to grocery stores and dining. Rafting and the Taos ski mountain were only about 30 min. away. This is the kind of place you want to tell everyone you know about, but also keep to yourself so you’re able to book it again. And, on top of that, communication with the owner was easy and always with a quick response to any questions.

Absolutely Enchanting!

This was the most beautiful home I've ever stayed at on this site. The pictures don't do it justice. The property manager was very helpful and the check in process was easy. The grounds are relaxing and we had plenty of room to rest and relax with a group of 8, including adults, teens and kids.

Family Visit

Gorgeous rural home that is decorated with beautiful Taos art and indigenous cultures theme. Our family member’s painting was part of the extensive art work hung throughout the home, which was a wonderful surprise for us all ( including family member-Brian). The home location felt private even though in a neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cookware for our family gathering to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The outdoor Gazebo and grounds were lovely. The early Spring cooler temperatures did not allow us to sit out on the multiple porches, but we imagined them to be fabulous during the warmer months. We hope to return!

Amazing stay near Taos ski valley

Sleeps 5-7 adults with some shared beds. Will sleep more if you have kids. Amazing kitchen and beautiful property. Also did I mention the steam showers

Outstanding!!

I’ve stayed at many vacation rentals over the years. This may be the best I’ve ever rented. It is an absolutely wonderful house. It was obviously designed by artists with colors and design touches that are amazing. We are a family of foodies and we just loved the kitchen. It’s huge, has a super cool old gas fired Wolf stove. Six burners, two ovens and, my favorite, a huge built in griddle. We spent most of our time in this wonderful space. Two big decks , a great hot tub and a patio just off the kitchen with an outdoor fireplace (I believe referred to as a Kiva) were all greatly appreciated additions. We had pre-dinner cocktails around the Kiva each evening, so fun! I happily rated this house at 5stars, but would rate it higher if I could.

The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen/dining area is a great place for family gatherings. Inquire as to what outdoor furniture will be available as we found out seasonally what is shown in the photos is not available for guests. It was disappointing to not know that at the time of booking. The location to Taos is great, very easy drive into town.

Great weekend in Taos

This house was perfect for our two family visit to Taos. Close to town but felt like country, beautiful outside space and fully equipped house made our stay one we will want to repeat. We have stayed at many VRBO Properties and this is one of the best. The decor is beautiful and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 teens. I personally was very impressed and grateful for how well the host stock the house. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry. Great stay and host!
