The staff are courteous and good at what they do. My room was clean, has good lighting and comfortable bed. Parking is right next to the hotel.

Breakfast service was top notch once again. Instay over 100 nights yearly and service here is best by far. Now older hotel but clean safe and spacious. Like the proximity to casino and walking to good restsurants.

It was nice but scary . Unsafe with people wandering the hotel. People smoking in the hotel, you can smell what they were smoking. Staff not calling before coming to the room. security made me feel unease. Like they were biased of my entity.

This hotel is in serious need of renovation. The location is beautiful overlooking the waterfront but the rooms were old and dated. It was clean enough. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

It was a beautiful place- I had a view on the Lake and Harbour. The sunset and Sunrise was just spectacular. I like the fact that there was a security gurad near the parking lot so my car was safe and I felt safe when bringing my dog outside. It was very quiet. Loved this stay

Loved its historical significance! Felt like European hotels we’ve stayed before. Would have liked to have more bathroom shelf or counter space for placing toiletries but not a dealbreaker. Will definitely return!

Given the age of the property, it was in good condition. But, some areas of the room needed painting and there were small amounts of mold in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The shower could use some more pressure, but I’m sure that’s a challenge in an older building. My biggest complaint was breakfast. They apparently had just switched over to a new ordering system, so it took 30 minutes to get breakfast and It was cold. I had multiple people try to sell me something in the area outside the motel, but I never felt unsafe.

We needed a place to stay for the night, and this hotel fit our budget (I didn’t expect hotel rates in Thunder Bay to be so high!). It’s definitely a rundown property, but surprisingly, we had a good night’s sleep. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet enough. Breakfast was actually pretty good—better than expected. Overall, it served its purpose.

All was great but the room carpet was sticky and we had to leave our shoes on while in the room . Definitely needs a new carpet ! Excellent staff and especially our breakfast waitress !

Room was very uncomfortable. Mattress caved in on one bed. AC unit mounted 3 inches away from the bed right at mattress hieight so could not use really. Carpet super dirty - there was a big size portable air drying unit placed in the center of the room as if they were trying to dry it out. Furniture dingy and dirty. Corridors dirty and stinky. The location is surrounded with drug users so many seringues and other garbage around made it unsafe to walk around and even very difficult to safely take my young dog for his needed strolls. Staff was very helful and welcoming.
