Beautiful room accommodated the four of us very well. Thought the $500+ price a bit much, but I guess Vancouver is just that expensive (especially the night before major cruises are boarding).

UBC Gage Suite Apartment

Couldn't stay the first night as it was unusually a cold night and no heating in the unit. Informed front hotel they said they can't help as heat is turned off for the building and will bring a portable heater and later informed me that they don't have any heater left. I got sick with a bad cold as the room temperature in the living room and bedroom was 13C Had to leave around 10:30 pm to leave and stay with a friend in his place in Vancouver island.

We love the privacy of the room, the cleanliness of the room, but one thing we had difficulty with was how to find the room directions were truthfully inadequate just giving a couple of sheets of paper does not necessarily mean it’s easy to find, but thanks for the rest of the good things

The check in was great, friendly receptionist, and the room itself was clean and had everything we needed. But the people above and beside us were very loud. We came back around 11 from a concert and there was no where to park, as we had paid for parking. Ran into reception to ask where to park and they were closed! So we had to drive in circles for a while until someone left a spot. Overall it was fine and in a convenient location.

This is a great location if you need to be near UBC for business or pleasure, or prefer the local neighborhoods to downtown or near the airport, where most hotels are. Easy access on foot, bike, or short drive to the Seawall path and numerous trails in Pacific Spirit Park, short drive or bus ride to Kitsilano neighborhood with lots of great dining and shopping. We also discovered it's literally just behind the UBC Aquatics Centre, which has public hours for indoor lap and family swim. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and kitchens fully equipped for cooking. Staff was very helpful. Great alternative to Air B and B.
