Known throughout the world as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.
It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.
Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.
The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.
The most famous local event is definitely the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.
Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns where to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.
The accommodation is approximately 1.5 km from the Venice Santa Lucia train station.

The place was overall nice. We stayed there Thursday-Saturday. Check in process was easy and easy to find. Very clean and cute place. It was the nicest place we stayed from our whole trip for 10 days in Europe. A few things is that we did not have power from about 7 AM to 6 PM, so showering and getting ready in the dark was unfortunate. The TV and wifi were also not working the whole duration of our stay. I would stay again, I just hope we get power/internet next time!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Well, let’s start with the pros: great shower with rainfall shower head and a washer/dryer. Beds were comfortable. Cons: it had a strange smell: like paint and raw garlic. I kept trying to pinpoint it but could not figure it out. The electric went out when we turned on the heat. We had to go outside and behind the house to find the outside fuse box. The owner responded quickly to help us fix this so that was a good thing. The location isn’t great. It’s somewhat close to the Rialto bridge but not super close. Also, we had to take out the trash down the street or else you get a fine. The cleaning lady was there at 9:30am and knocked around 9:45, check out is at 10am. Why were we being rushed? Also, why were we in charge of trash if the cleaner was coming? Also, one roll of toilet paper provided for 4 people and a two night stay. The place wasn’t free. Anyhow, it was fine but I wouldn’t stay again.
