The only negative thing I have to say about the staff is that they scheduled a water taxi for me and the water taxi driver gave my luggage to a guy once we got to train station and the guy wouldn’t give me my luggage until I gave him 50 euros. I was not expecting them to setup a water taxi that would con me. It was a scary experience.

The Spledid was everything i look for in a hotel.. good reviews, excellent location. The staff was very capable & diligent.. we arranged transportation to & from marco P airport via water taxi..€175. U dont need to do breakfast at the hotel..its bery good, but there are tons ofplaces 100 geet away This is a lux hotel

Amazing hotel and amazing location!

Amazing hotel perfectly placed on a canal and between the Rialto bridge and San Marco Square for convenience to so much. Front desk staff marvelous in setting up water taxis, holding our bags, dinner recommendations.

Our first room was small and had a view of a wall. But they changed our room to an upgraded room with a view of the canal and a larger room. Sophia and Glanda at the front desk were amazing and the servers at the delicious complimentary breakfast were all so very friendly, especially Valentina.

Great location & Murano Tour. Replace the carpet

The location of Splendid was fantastic. Close to all the major attractions, and the canal it is on has less traffic, so it is quiet. The hotel could use some updating. It has a nice Venetian feel, but the smell in our room and in some hallways/elevators was very musky (because of the carpet). Once we opened the windows, that helped and the rest of the amenities were good. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They arranged a tour for free to Murano island, which was fantastic. Highly recommend they schedule that for your visit.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel

We only stayed here one night as it was a quick layover to a long trip. It was a spectacular hotel. It was so very beautiful. Valet parking was pretty easy. We got in pretty late but early enough to grab a quick bite before heading to bed. The food was delicious. It was in a really convenient location to may shops and restaurants. I only wish we more time here.

Staff were mostly helpful (except for their handling of a stolen item in the room). They need to separate the concierge activities from the reception to avoid long delays checking in / out. People were spending 15-20 minutes at reception asking fro advice on the loca area. This should be handled by the concierge to avoid long delays checking in and out (as I experienced too). Hotel is lovely. Great location. Good facilities. Nice breakfasts (though expensive). Will likely need some modernization soon, however. My canal view room wasn't really worth the extra charge as you have to lean out of the window to see any view at all. Recommended still.
