Waterfront Log Home on Quiet Lake - 25 Minutes -Sunday River Ski
Get away from it all... Nestled on the edge of the White Mountains in the Western Lakes Region of Maine, this is the ideal large, lakefront log home if your idea of getting away involves heading into the outdoors and away from the crowds.
During the Winter enjoy the large stone fireplace in the main room, nearby skiing, snowmobiling and ice skating on the lake. In Spring & Fall enjoy leaf peeping and hiking in the White Mountains. During the Summer enjoy the peaceful lake with private 230 ft. lakefront property, sandy water entry, swimming, large canoe, 2 kayaks, gas grill on a large deck with beautiful water and mountain views.
First off, so there is no confusion, we loved our time at the house, on the property, overall great. A couple things definitely would want to convey. If youâre going in the winter and there is snow, the house is truly in the woods, and a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle was very necessary.
Loved our visit to this log home. Very spacious and well equiped kitchen. Amazing views of the lake. Had everything you need for a nice relaxing trip with your family or group of friends. They give access to their canoe and kayaks. Theres a place to gather around a fire and a deck to enjoy the views and grill for your needs. Also an indoor fire place with plenty of wood available! Thanks for the memories. Debra, Dave and Cali
This Could be a really nice place to stay - However the cabin feels a bit neglected. The location was beautiful the structure itself was great but it isn't really well kept. The fridge, counters and couch were dingy, the microwave handle was held together by tape, the shower had hair in it upon arrival, they were SO MANY flies upon arrival, Some windows were missing screens, there were excessive cobwebs, and only two mattresses were decent. Would love to had made this a repeat place to rent but I'm sad to say it's not going to be.
The house was exactly as advertised. Very clean and bright.
The host was great and she even left me a voicemail( we were out on the pond) about the pond some ways to go on the kayaks.
2 towns are close for shopping/groceries and gas. And there are so many hiking trails nearby.
My family enjoyed staying at this property. The house was secluded and private, the pond access was ideal for kayaking and swimming for our young son, and the surrounding area was very nice. I appreciated that the house had some helpful safety features for a toddler including stair gates. We enjoyed our stay very much!
This house had everything we needed for a great family vacation. The location is lovely, quite secluded in the woods, and right next to a pond. We were there in February and skied at Mt. Abrams and Sunday River, which are both nearby. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing by the big fireplace in the living room, and cooking in the fully-stocked kitchen. The owner was very kind and provided lots of information and suggestions of things to do in the area. No complaints at all. We would like to come back in warmer weather to do some hiking and to enjoy the pond. Thank you for everything!
The cabin was super cute and cozy! And the owner was so kind and had great communication! Only complaint would be the cleanliness- some rooms were quite dusty and had some trash on the floor under one of the beds. But otherwise, 4 stars!
Clean, true to the description, friendly, responsive owners, well stocked.
Suggestion to visitors: go to the Gem and Mineral Museum in Bethel. It is world class.
Note for older visitors: There are no safety bars in either shower.
This house had room for 10 people. It was clean,
the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials you would need in it. The owners gave lots of information about things to do and see in the area, gave excellent directions to the house and were available to answer any questions you had. We had a wedding to go to and we were very happy that it was located within 8 minutes of the property. We had a great long weekend there.
We had a wedding in the area so we found this spot. It was a cool cabin right on the water. Wish we had more time to enjoy it as it was a beautiful secluded area.
Tiny pond but the peacefulness was just what we wanted. No neighbors! The camp was big enough for parents, children and grandkids to visit. Small beach but sandy spot for little ones. We would definitely go there again â„ïž
What an amazing little gem of a cabin on a lake close to a great little downtown with quality food and friendly people! Property manager gave us a call shortly after we arrived and made sure we were satisfied with the property. Lake is nice and quiet with plenty of sights to see as you swim, canoe and kayak. It truly is âthe way life should be!!!â
The house was great for our weekend ski trip to Sunday River. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner both days. The three bedrooms plus the loft beds were comfortable and views of the pond out back were great.
We stayed at the property for a ski vacation, but also just for a getaway. As advertised, the location was nice and private with serene views towards the pond. The house was spacious and comfy, the beds especially so. The first-floor bunk room was perfect for my young grandchildren, and they were delighted by the toy box. Kitchen was fairly well equipped and easy to use for meal prep. Great place to stay and recharge, close to Pleasant Mt. and Mt Abrams, fire in the fireplace to play games around - we were more than satisfied!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house/description is accurate. The host made us very comfortable answering all the questions and giving suggestions along the way. Kids enjoyed the hikes around and the papoose pond rides in the kayaks. They want to come back to the same place again in summer.
