"We booked through Hotels.com. We wanted a hotel room for wedding weekend. We got married just up the way in Newcastle. We walked in the room it was 60 degrees! We had a patio, not a balcony. There was one dinky chair and no view other than shrubs and a tree. We messaged the hotel why we were staying and nothing was done for our stay. Now we weren’t expecting much, considering they host weddings & events, surely something, nothing, not even as we checked in. The tile on the wall in the shower needs a complete scrubbing, some tile grout is white and you can see where they just gave up. The room is dated with some amenities updated. Coffee was horrible, go to breakfast to get a better cup! We got the impression we are given the ok room. All staff we encountered gave the impression they would be anywhere but there… We selected this hotel for based not only the reviews but the location. We travel around the country and several parts of the world. It takes a lot for us to write any type of review. This hotel has a lot of potential, step it up Chalet."
