While checking in was busy but everyone waiting was offered a complimentary drink while waiting, all staff was friendly and pelite. The standard room for 2 was really nice- clean, showers and toilets was clean but a bit on the smaller side but still managed to enjoy the rainfall shower. All in all was a great experience and would come back again when staying in Amsterdam.

I have never left a review on a hotel or restaurant but this one will defiantly be my first. I have stayed in ~20 hotels in the last 2 years as my partner lives in the Netherlands, and I do not. I booked a Suite at this hotel as a treat for my partner expecting it to meet at LEAST basic expectations. Unfortunately this place left a sour taste in my mouth (sour like the rotten-egg Hydrogen Sulfide gas coming out from our shower drain) Where do I begin: 1. We were awoken at 7am to a putrid rotten-egg smell coming from the shower that was stinking up our entire room. We had to leave the room in our sleepwear for over an hour because we began to feel nauseous and ill. We called the front desk to report it and they said they could move us to another room. 1 minute later they called back saying they would not be doing that and sending maintenance. The only reason this place is not getting 1 star is because the issue did end up being resolved after a few hours, but boy was this the icing on the cake. 2. I arrived at ~12pm after travelling for 30 hours in the hopes we could get early check-in. Now I understand that is never guaranteed and it is a privilege, but they looked at me like I had 3 eyeballs when I walked in with my sweatpants and shirt. I immediately got the vibes that this place likes to pretend they're fancy but in reality they're not. Many hotels that I have stayed at do me a favour to put in a request to the maid staff that I'd like to check in early if possible,
