This cozy Girdwood condo is the ideal base camp for budget-minded travelers who want to spend much of their time exploring Alaska's natural wonders. It boasts a shared sauna, proximity to the lifts, and a private balcony with views. Local dining and activities centered around the arts are within walking distance, as are the lifts at Alyeska Resort. Downhill, boarding, cross-country, and snowshoeing are popular winter activities. Summer activities include hiking into nearby glaciers and Chugach State Park.

This condo has a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a balcony with beautiful views. Feel refreshed in the shared sauna after a day on the slopes. The cable TV will keep you entertained at night.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing, and due to the conditions, I did not stay the second night.Upon arrival, the instructions were unclear regarding the lockbox location. We arrived after dark in 5-degree weather and were unable to immediately access the unit. We later discovered the lockbox was located on the side of the building rather than at the front entrance, which caused unnecessary frustration and delay.When we entered the apartment, it was uncomfortably cold. Although the thermostat was set to 60F, the temperature near the entry read 48F, and the unit never felt warm or welcoming. Even once we turned the heat on it never got to a comfortable temperature by the time we left at 9:30am the next day it was only up to 58F.Cleanliness was a major concern. The bathroom linens were dingy, visible hair was left on towels and in the shower, the carpet had noticeable stains and appeared not to have been vacuumed, and the fireplace ledge was dusty. Additionally, the bathroom sink was clogged and not draining properly. Somewhere within the building or unit there was a grinding / buzzing sound that persisted every 15seconds throughout our stay. There was also no coffee provided for the coffee maker.Overall, the property did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness, comfort, functionality, or communication, and the listing photos were misleading.

Check in was a pain, went to the wrong entrance of the building first and tried all those lock boxes
 about 20 minutes later someone came out of the building and told me there was another area with keys. There was no access to the sauna or at least it wasn’t communicated how to get in it. The room and beds were both clean and comfortable. Recommend getting a new shower curtain.

Great stay

Enjoyed our stay. Kitchen could use potholders and a bigger pot for cooking. Refrigerator makes a very loud clunk noise when it cycles off but it worked fine. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets.

Destination wedding in Girdwood

This condo was very adequate for our needs—clean and convenient location. One inconvenience was the lack of a hair dryer and though I was promised one would be delivered, that was not the case. We had to drive to Anchorage to buy our own. Hopefully one will be supplied for the next occupants.

Everything we needed

Good location, nice, clean condo. When we first arrived there was no key in the lockbox- luckily someone let us in the building. We got a key the following day. Things to consider: The bed and pillows are firm. The TV is small. There is noise from apartment above. Overall, however, we were happy and think that, relatively speaking, this was a good value.

Check-in was confusing but customer service was willing to help with it. Had most items needed. Called customer service about a 2nd issue and was told to figure it out ourselves as they are not local. Property was mostly clean with exception of a candy wrapper and carpet. Not very busy during summer time.

Ideally located for a great Alaskan experience

Nicely kept studio apartment with full kitchen amenities. Very clean and as pictured. Had a little difficulty with the lock system but the property manager was very helpful and walked us through getting into the apartment. Hiking trails and beautiful picturesque mountains all around. The Drive from Anchorage is breathtaking. Just 1 mile up the road from Alyeska Resort with their amazing Nortic spa. We picked a new trail every day and enjoyed the fresh air and amazing views. Thank you!

Great stay but needs an air purifier

I have stayed at this rental numerous times now. Last year we booked it twice and same for this year. I always love staying here as it can accommodate just my spouse and I or us and the kids. I have ALWAYS been impressed with how clean this place is and free of gross smells, however this year the shower walls appeared to be missed in the cleaning process as there was a mans hair all over the walls and the condo smelt as if someone prior had smoked. This is unfortunate because last year neither of these things occurred.

Very Clean and Convenient

Loved this little condo. It’s an older building in Girdwood but decorated very nicely. Loved the big bed bedding! Whoever cleans this rental should be getting a raise because it was impeccable! One thing I would fix is requesting the heat be turned down to 60 prior to leaving. When we arrived it was freezing inside the unit and due to the age of the building it takes longer to get the heat up to a comfortable spot. It was -3 outdoors when we arrived and after unloading the car we were a little chilly so being able to come inside to a warm condo would have been nice. Other than that this place rocks!

Clean, cozy, close to mountain

This unit is walking distance to chair 3, much appreciated. It is small ish and the kids bounced around to entertain themselves. The noise between the units is noticeable, both us hearing noise from the unit above us, and from our unit to side units. This is in the blue building and GPS directed us further up the hill and I’m the dark we walked around trying to find it to avoid driving in circles, once identified we were easily able to get in. Clue in guests that it’s first right off crystal mountain drive.

Girdwood escape!

The condo was well equipped! Queen bed was comfortable and the view of the trees and mountain side was nice to enjoy out the large patio window. The condo had a private front entrance. Only those in the condo building could access. Enjoyed!

The condo itself was clean and as pictured, the building was old and needed attention to cleanliness and maintenance. There is a big flat screen TV however there is no service and no cables to connect your computer (for streaming) or the blue ray player. The biggest issue though was that someone knocked on the door early (0730) and then proceeded to unlock it presumably to enter. We were scheduled to leave (checkout is 1000) that morning but were still asleep at that point. It was very unnerving. The property manager responded quickly to my concern but still
