Public spaces have free WiFi. There's an onsite business center. The business-friendly Northwoods Motel also features a vending machine and a garden. Self parking is free.
One thing right off to note is that the beds are incredibly tall - I'm about 5'7 and the bed surface is about hip-height to me. If that's not a dealbreaker then you're in for a treat because on this bed I had one of the best nights of sleep in recent memory.
Beyond that this place is pretty standard without a whole lot of bells and whistles. If you're someone who relies on mobility aids you might find it a little difficult to navigate this room (I stayed in a single king - they may have more accessible accommodations in other rooms, but you should definitely check before committing). The bathrooms are pretty small but the adjustable showerhead almost makes up for it.
For the price and the proximity to the border crossing, you can't beat it though. It was a fantastic stay and I will definitely keep it on my list for future trips.
I was very pleased with the staff at first because they were very kind â the young woman in the beginning and the young man were both very helpful and polite. However, on the last day, a woman at the reception was very rude and unprofessional. I simply asked if I could leave my suitcase at the reception for one hour, but she responded in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner. This left a very negative impression at the end of an otherwise good stay.
