Cairns is a resort area (Great Barrier Reef) and tropical. Our room on the main floor was perhaps a little more utilitarian such as tiled floors but was approppriate for a beach resort area. It contained a comfortable bed and a small outdoor patio off the room. As a cyclone was in the vacinity the weather did not cooperate. As most visitors spent a significant amount of time indoors, the internet was taxed.We were given a discount on breakfast but didn't find it very appealing. I would go back to this quaint hotel as it met my needs.

I really enjoyed my stay at Coral Tree Inn. The hotel is close to all main attractions with shopping and restaurants also near by. My room was clean and the bed very comfy! The outdoor pool was also good to cool down in when it got very warm during the day. Breakfast was brilliant too, lots of options available.

Not the newest hotel, but extremely clean rooms, way above the average clean hotel room. I'm a clean freak, and my stay was very comfortable because everything was so clean. Keep it up, your guests appreciate it 👍

Terrible!

I was first given a ground floor pool side room. The smell of chlorine and bleach was so overwhelming I had to move. It was also filthy - the bathroom floor needed a very good clean. The second room I was given a little better - but with a full enclosed balcony with two plastic chairs. There were people knocking on doors, doors banging and closing and people holding various conversations late into the night. I paid $180 for this hotel. It was marginally better than a youth hostel.
