The website says they are pet friendly, yet they do not tell you until check-in that the fee is an additional $150, $50 of which may be refunded if they don't need to clean anything. We stayed at a different Comfort Inn a week before in Christianburg, VA, and the property was much nicer and they only charge $25 per pet.

This hotel is apparently a smoker’s delight - there was no escaping the smell of marijuana or cigarettes, even in the non-smoking room, as the air conditioning units blew the outside air in. The designated smoking areas were at all entrances, so there was no way to get in or out without walking through a cloud. One guy was living in his van in the parking lot and his van reeked of marijuana. (We’ve stayed here three times and he was there all three times) Even the lobby smelled overpoweringly of a mix of marijuana and chemical cleaners. We had to ask for a new room twice since the rooms we were assigned had strong fragrances from previous guests. The furnishings were old and heavily worn. For example, outlets on the bedside lamps were non-functional, outlets in the wall were loose (plugs just fell right out), the vinyl desk chair was cracked and peeling, the carpet was worn, and during one of our stays, the toilet didn’t work. In another of our rooms, I swear the toilet was designed for an elementary school. It was very short and small. The mattresses are also very hard. That being said, the rooms we ended up in were always clean and had appropriate supplies and clean linens. It was nice that they offer a breakfast - it was very basic. Cereal, yogurt, a variety of muffins and breads, oatmeal, waffle station, coffee, tea, juice, scrambled egg patties, and sausage (incredibly spicy). There was not much for someone with a gluten allergy, but to be fair, there rarely is.

The front desk gave us issues due to the fact that my husband’s drivers license was expired. his new license had not yet been sent in the mail. He had proof of a valid drivers license through the Maryland vehicle association. It made for a very difficult check-in. The front desk was rude and not helpful. We had paid for the hotel in full prior to check in. We will not be using this hotel again. We will not recommend it to friends or family.

Room was clean and quiet. No towel racks in bathroom. Curtain wouldn't stay closed so limited privacy. Breakfast was good. And it was extremely convenient to walk across parking lot to the Villa event venue.

The staff were friendly and the location very convenient. When we arrived, a family was upset that they could not get a full refund, because they hadn't canceled in time. The gentleman helping them was very patient and professional, even though he was being yelled at. He was very kind to me and my mom when we checked in. Rooms were clean and spacious, but everything was falling apart. The desk chairs were peeling all over. The couches were ripped in multiple places and looked like they might fall apart if sat on. My toilet flooded after the first night. They were quick to repair, but nothing was offered for the inconvenience. The breakfast was somewhat hidden down a hallway. It had all of the basics and was just ok. This was my second time staying and it was one of the lowest priced hotels in the area. Next time, I will pay slightly more to try a different hotel in the area.

Staff was amazing, the class of people staying there was a problem. Loud, screams and fighting 1am waking me up. Breakfast variety would be great. Nothing healthy except yogurt.
