Just a 10-minute walk to the sandy beach, this 2 bed/2 bath half duplex features central air conditioning, a private deck with an ocean view, a fully stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs, and use of a completely organic vegetable garden! Yes, that's right, no need to stop at the grocery store. You will have fresh organic produce in the comforts of your back yard. Get away from the every day and escape to beach luxury right here!

The beach cottage has all the comforts of home mixed with the luxuries of a hotel. The bathroom comes stocked with a pair of robes and slippers, hotel-sized toiletries to get you by your first day, a hair dryer, and plenty of toilet paper. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay. Each bedroom comes with a plush pillow-top mattress, crisp white linens, and plenty of comfortable pillows and blankets. We also have a queen size air mattress to accommodate two plus extra hotel quality bedding provided. Need to do laundry? We got you covered with a full size washer/dryer along with laundry detergent and dryer sheets to get you started.

Gourmet cooking made possible in our fully stocked gourmet kitchen! We have everything you can possibly think of for cooking up a storm.

Entertainment made possible in our open concept living room! The beach cottage has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room/kitchen. PLEASE NOTE:

Air conditioning is not for everyday use in moderate weather. Guests are asked to open windows and allow for the ocean breeze to cool the house.

The organic vegetable garden is shared with the owners next door. While your backyard is private, owners will need access from time to time to tend to the garden.

There is parking for one vehicle only on the left side of the driveway only. The garage is off limits. Owner parks their vehicle in the garage and will need access daily.

Please note the beach cottage is part of a duplex. You are sharing a wall with the other side. The beach cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. This is not a party house.

The entire property is non-smoking.

 The water dispenser barely put out a trickle of water. Perhaps the filter needs to be changed? There were no coffee filters for the drip coffee maker.

Great location. Property was clean and had good furnishings. It would have been helpful if there was a list of where things were stored. We disclosed, prior to arriving, that there would be six of us. Only six bath towels were provided. My grandchildren have skin issues that doctors recommend only one use towels be used for every bath. That required us to wash towels daily. We found after several days that there were six beach towels in the cabinet over the dryer. We began using beach towels for showering. Washing clothes daily on vacation isn't my idea of a vacation. A couple more bath towels would have been helpful or notice so that we could have brought our own. Also I know this is out of the control of the owner, but the neighbor next door has a construction truck that they park at the edge of the driveway. The truck is large and does somewhat encroach past the edge of the curb. The owner only allows the short-term rental occupant to park on one half of the driveway. There is a white line down the middle of the driveway. Between dodging the construction truck, a front fence post and staying in the white lines with a rented minivan was challenging and typically took a couple of attempts. Renters with small cars will not have a problem.

A spacious apartment, clean and well appointed.

A lovely spacious apartment in a quiet residential area. Close to several main roads it’s an excellent location for getting down to the beach and visiting friends inland.Our only negative was that the plug in the en-suite wash basin doesn’t lift properly, so it is almost impossible to rinse the basin thoroughly after use.

Perfect Getaway-Great Location

Property was immaculately clean, warm and welcoming. Comfortable living room and the multiple outdoor spaces only added to a great stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. Location provides easy access to many great restaurants and attractions. Managing agent was very responsive. This was our first stay but it will definitely not be our last!

Great place for a week stay

The duplex was clean and well accommodated for our week long stay. Very comfortable for 4 people. Kitchen was good but not stocked with staples as mentioned. We purchased what we needed to make meals. Vegetable garden was not in season ( maybe update description to be more accurate). Lack of cable was a bummer- no local news - had to scramble to find a way to watch NBA playoffs. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would book again.

Cal Trip

Communication about Sand and Surf being associated with Vrbo was not clear at first. My first thought was Scam! Not clear references. Online description lead me to believe all beds had pillow top mattresses, the master was very hard. The master bath sink was draining very slow. Overall nice place with excellent amenities.

Clean and great location!

Very clean property! Great for 3-4 people. Easy check in and check out. It does share a wall, Wi-Fi, and furnace with the other unit so you will not have control over temperature. Other than that everything was great! We had a minor issue with Wi-Fi but the property manger was very attentive and responsive!

Great beach getaway house in quiet neighborhood

We had a great stay at this very clean and beautiful house. Walking distance to capo and Doheny beach. House is really well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Miriam and her husband are super nice and super easy to deal with. We had a great stay, looking forward to going back next year.

All services are close by. Easy access to freeway networks putting large portion of Southern California coastline within easy reach. Friendly and helpful neighbors and managers. Will strongly consider utilizing property for future vacations.

Wonderful home!

We loved everything about our 2 month stay in this home. From the moment we booked, Miriam was a lovely host- kind and attentive, detail oriented and always available and quick to respond to answer any questions. The home itself is amazing, it’s gorgeous and luxurious yet cozy and inviting and feels like home. Cleanliness was top notch- white and bright and sparkling in every room. Mattresses and furniture are so very comfortable and great quality. We loved the well stocked kitchen, the organic garden of fresh veggies and citrus, and of course the front deck with stunning ocean views and glorious sunsets. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming, and the neighborhood itself is fabulous- just a short walk to the beach or beautiful Pines park. Highly recommend booking your next vacation here... it beats and 5 star resort any day!
