Located minutes from North Shore and less than 1 mile from the shops, restaurants, parks, tennis and pickleball courts of downtown Eastsound guests can enjoy convenience and solitude. From this home guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll to the beach for sunny day activities by the water or a brisk walk into the village for coffee and shopping. Eastsound provides plenty of year round entertainment options for guests whether here for a week or just a weekend.

If you'd prefer to spend some time at home, this property will not disappoint. The Orcas Beach Cottage has everything you need for an amazing getaway. Rain or shine, guests can take in the stunning views from nearly every room in the home. Warm days make grilling on the BBQ in the gorgeous garden or stories around the firepit an excellent way to unwind. Blustery days of the fall and winter are met with a cozy spot in front of the fireplace and brand new dry sauna meant to take the chill away.

A bright nautical design, large windows, and high ceilings give the home a wonderful sense of character. During your stay, enjoy free WiFi, DVDs on the flatscreen TV, or time in the dry Nordic sauna. You'll also have plenty of other extras to enjoy: filtered water, on-demand water heater, and even a back-up generator to keep you nice and cozy during an island storm should the power go out.

This home was lovely. We will be back. We had Della contact us prior to check in and communicate when needed throughout the trip. There was a plumbing and gate issue that was both communicated early, expectations set and addressed immediately. She kindly provided compensation for the issues. The house is just as advertised and we had a lovely time during our stay.

Best sunsets & beautiful home

We loved our stay. Didn’t want to leave! The house is well equipped for all needs. It’s a short walk to the beach, and the property is fully fenced—so, no worries about kids wandering off. We’ll definitely miss the sunsets!

Beautiful home, well appointed and great location. The downside: the fees were outrageous. We paid almost double the rental due to fees. Also, check out was 10:00 which is way too early, especially for the price! Would not stay again.

Perfect Island Retreat

High bank waterfront gem with outstanding island views. Home is well designed for families with two queen en suites, one on the main floor, plus two additional bedrooms good for kids or singles. Beautiful decor and accessories. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and entertaining. The patio and garden are splendid. We loved our stay.

The Groom's family

We stayed here for my son's wedding. This is a special house on the water...clean, well equipped and convenient to the village. We were especially impressed by how well the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked. We needed a house with 3 bathrooms to get ready for the wedding! I would suggest adding a full length mirror somewhere. My grandkids enjoyed the games and toys provided.

Cute house terrible living room and no beach access

The house is really nice and the yard is gorgeous, my family loved staying here and my daughters definitely want to come back. The reviews are true, it’s a great house, so I’m going to nitpick some things here
 first off, as another reviewer mentioned the signage, cameras etc. are a little much. By the end of our week I felt like a naughty child getting her hand slapped when I didn’t do anything wrong. TV had a passcode from the owners that we couldn’t override until we got the property manager to help us via text, no big deal. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice (shower head in primary bath need to be replaced). The kitchen is super well stocked and I always like an open concept floor plan. With that being said, take a look at the photo of the living room space. There are several pieces of furniture in that room that all need to be replaced with a sectional couch. It’s not a big room, but one would fit. Look, I know you don’t spend $$$$ for a week in Orcas to watch tv, but when you do have downtime it’s nice to relax a bit and this living room situation does not lend itself to that. ALL of the seating is uncomfortable. If the owners would put in a proper couch this house would be 5 stars and I could live with all the signage knowing I’m not breaking the rules. Also, fyi the gate is not automatic so someone needs to jump out and open/close it every time you come and go. And steps to beach have been wiped out so no access and most shoreline is private.

Stayed here this August and stayed here 3 years ago, same beautiful view. Convenient location. Cute decor. Nice fire pit. House was cleaned, the only downfall was the linen and towels are quite old and need to be replaced. You might want to bring your own linens.

Stunning location. We will be back!

Everything was perfect. Our family had a lovely time. We can’t wait to return. Stunning views of the Salish Sea, gorgeous gardens, fully equipped kitchen, easy walk to town, daily spectacular sunsets and wildlife to observe. Bald Eagles to hummingbirds and Deer. We loved every moment. One room was tight- however, the setting and just simply being together made up for any tightness. We, will no doubt, plan to return to the same cottage!

Great location, beautiful home-a few opportunities

This home is well decorated and designed and the location is fantastic-right on the water. We come to Orcas multiple times/year for the past 6 pears and usually rent a house so we have lots of experience. We are 2 families with teens and tweens. There were a few areas for improvement that our group saw. First, there are signs everywhere--in the garden, on the walls, etc. They are logical requests--keep out of the garden, do not climb on the deck railing, do not bring food or drink upstairs, etc. The majority seemed geared to children. We found the volume of signage off putting and unwelcoming. In my experience, most places have a set of policies they provide and trust the renters to comport themselves in accordance with them. Based on prior reviews I was prepared for the next issue. When we arrived there were no cushions on the outdoor furniture. The information in the house conflicted with the online listing stating that outdoor cushions and fire pit would not be available until 5.15--the online listing only referenced the fire pit. The property manager was incredibly responsive and immediately came over and brought out the cushions and made sure we had access to the fire pit as well. You are responsible for storing the cushions in the crawl space if it rains--you are charged for wet cushions per the literature a t the house--seems like an odd policy in the Pacific Northwest. Finally--there were ants in the kitchen. All in all--great house and location but we felt uncomfortable during our stay with the overbearing signage and inconsistent policies.

Cold yet cozy

Beautiful home! Decorated in a very clean yet cozy way. Beds are comfortable! Location is excellent, walking distance to a small pebble beach and town. The property manager was really responsive, when neither outdoor cushions nor fire-pit were prepared for us. He came to fix it for us on a Sunday! Unfortunately, the listing was inaccurate and conflicted with info at the property. The pictures also show a set of stairs to the beach below, but the stairs have washed away and access is no longer possible. The property manager said that he would update the listing, as there were quite a few things that were off base. All that said, we worked through it with the manager within the first 24 hours and had a lovely stay! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful beach house!

The home was a perfect spot for our family for the weekend. The space was laid out nicely so we could have kids asleep upstairs while adults stayed up and talked downstairs. Bathrooms were all very nice and the backyard was a perfect spot for the kids to play. We were bummed that the stairs weren’t operational but the beach wasn’t a far walk. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Can I please give this place more stars than you allow?

This property has everything you could ever want. The only thing missing was an actual orca jumping out of the water waving to me while I sat in the amazing backyard watching bald eagles and hummingbirds. The house was extremely clean and the location is exceptional.

Don't take the kids (or shoes)

Architectural Digest meets Roberts Rules of Order. Beautifully appointed and maintained, but so many rules posted I felt more incarcerated than on vacation. I understand no shoes in house, but no food/drink on second floor, only plastic spatulas on the pots and pans, etc. If owner is intent on keeping property pristine, maybe vacation renting (particularly to groups with children) isn't a wise choice. Phone call from property manager the morning after arrival reporting complaints by neighbors of people trespassing on their private beach felt like a reprimand and set bad tone for remainder of stay since none of our party had been on ANY beach. Would not stay again. Too staged and not the real Orcas I know from 60 years of summer visits.

We've stayed at many vacation homes through the years including Kauai, Lake Tahoe, Mendocino, Napa and many other destinations. I would put this home and the experience we had in it up in the top 3! Utterly stunning in terms of overall views and the overall experience. Well done.

Beautiful view

The house was neat and clean and the yard was very nice. Great sound view but no access to the water. We were disappointed that the outdoor furniture did not have cushions so we could not use the chaise loungers and the other outside chairs were very uncomfortable without cushions. According to the agent the owner does not put them on until mid May We assured him that we would bring the cushions inside when we were not using them so the weather would not affect them but never heard back. That was my biggest disappointment because we chose that house for the outdoor area and could not use it comfortably
