Disgusting moldy room, scam charges for smoking when you absolutely did not, security pounding on our door waking us up and being rude. Management calling us liars and refusing to do anything except move us to another moldy room. Did not have our room cleaned once in 5 days. Had fire alarm testing qnd announcements going off for an hour. Kept texting and calling, adding stress and anxiety to our trip. All tour guides, locals, even the people working at the tiki bar said hiw awful the gitel is and how scammy they are.

The ocean was very visible from our lanai and we were able to watch Waikīkī Friday night fireworks from there also! The location is convenient to many popular locations and has views of Diamond Head from the one side of the hotel for great picture opportunities. Local public transportation trolleys and buses all have multiple pick ups from the hotel each day which was a big money saver! The daily availability of beach chairs was an awesome benefit of staying here, and the restaurant - Tikis- was the best meal we had on Oahu! While the hotel is older, they have worked hard to keep things up to date and in decent repair. If you're in Waikiki you're not spending all your time in your room anyway! However, that said, you DO always want a comfortable bed to sleep in and this one was EXTREMELY comfortable! We have a great bed at home and are seldom satisfied with hotel beds but the one we had at the Twin Fin did not disappoint! It was amazing!!! The staff was all very friendly and responsive as well- kudos Twin Fin for a great stay!

Inform people at check in that the what is assumed is complementary breakfast actually cost 55$ per day and then takes very little responsibility for not informing people after spending 6K + to stay there and pay 600$ just for valet shocking. Next time we will stay somewhere else for our 10 day vacation this place didn’t live up to its name at all. The only one that did was our house keeper

I had a very poor experience with Twin Fin Hotel. The pricing structure is honestly ridiculous. Online, the room is advertised at one price, but by the time everything is added up, the cost balloons far beyond what’s reasonable. In my case, a one-night stay advertised at $309 ended up costing $433.30 total after taxes and mandatory fees. That included $57.82 in taxes and an additional $66.48 in mandatory fees collected at the property. Paying over $430 for a single night in a very average room is hard to justify. Parking makes it even worse. It’s $60 per day, which is excessive. I was told at check-in that locals can receive a 50% discounted parking rate, but they refused to honor it because I booked through a third-party website. That limitation was never clearly disclosed ahead of time and feels misleading. The room itself was underwhelming and did not feel worth the total cost once all the fees were added. On top of that, the elevator system is extremely frustrating to use. Long wait times, overcrowding, and inefficient operation made going up or down a chore, especially during peak hours. It felt poorly designed and completely inadequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel. Between the excessive stacked fees, expensive parking, mediocre room quality, and a poorly functioning elevator system, this hotel delivers very poor value.

It was a great place to stay. Close to the beach and nice rooms. Only negatives were valet parking early and getting charged a resort fee everyday that wasn’t included in the Expedia price.

I'll start by saying the only reason they got 3 stars instead of 2 is because the ocean front view was great. Now for the bad. It started with finding out they only offer valet services when I go there, no mention of that when I booked at $60/day. Then the elevators didn't work properly making you go to the 3rd floor and tell an attendant what floor you wanted, both up and down. The first night I was there they had a malfunction in their fire alarm that evacuated the entire building in the middle of the night. We had to walk down all the stairs, wait over 20 minutes for the staff to figure anything out. Then, by the time they figured it out, they just said false alarm and walk away from us. After a while a guest found a way to open the the stair ways and we walked all the way back up. Up in the room it's pretty dated, down to the popcorn(asbestos) ceilings. The window curtains snagged on the rail constantly and always let light in of the left side if you tried to sleep in. On the 3rd day the valet screwed up the cars, creating a 20 minute delay making us miss a reservation. The staff was mixed. Some where very nice, some were snobby and acted like they didn't want to talk to anyone despite that being their job. At the end of the day this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel but the only part that felt like it was the location. The rest was 2 star hotel level, maybe.

I was looking forward to an amazing vacation here in Waikiki but I have to say - my stay at the twin fin was very very disappointing. The managing staff was super rude and unaccommodating to medical issues , elevator was broken at times, front desk was never available. In middle of the night me and my family was jolted up for a false emergency and had to evacuate the building ! They did not update us on the cause or when the issue was resolved. It was chaos. No heating systems, shower was terrible. The reason I left a star at all was because of the Leé making in the morning but other than that, I was very disappointed.
