Off the Grid Yurt Camping

Serenity Now! Enjoy an off the grid experience on our 40 acres of rolling hills, and a lot of nature's beauty. No running water or electricity. There is limited solar power to recharge your phone and provide lighting and a fan. You can enjoy the several hiking trails and a peaceful campfire. No bedding provided. 1 Queen futonn and two single cots. Propane heater, cook top and basic kitchen utensils are provided. Firewood is not provided. No fireworks, guns or ATVs.

We had an amazing visit! The place was everything we expected and more! The location felt very secluded even though it was right off the highway (which you could hear but wasn't an issue for us) they provided us with a heater that worked wonderfully to keep the place warm! They even had games for us to play.

Beautiful location with gorgeous trails to explore. The immediate campsite was well manicured. The Yurt and the outhouse were clean and organized with a plentiful variety of provided amenities. The Yurt itself was gorgeous and very cozy with the provided heater and propane fuel. 10/10 recommended!

Wonderful whimsical weekend stay. We felt like we'd landed at Hagrids Hut, surrounded by the forbidden forest. 10 out of 10 highly recommend for somw off grid shenanigans. Beautiful marked trails to explore through old wood growth and marshlands with wildlife galore.

We really enjoyed the serenity as well as the deer that was consistently outside the yurt. There was plenty of water and the whole "off the grid" was exceptionally soothing and calming. There were a lot of planes flying overhead, and the occasional on noxious motorcycle down the road, but it didn't bother us much as we rested in the peace that only nature can provide. We were very happy with our stay, and yes, the outhouse was exceptional, considering its purpose. We will be back.

Staying in this yurt felt like stepping into a Disney movie. I saw deer and rabbits, heard sandhill cranes, and walked the trails the owners had cleared through the woods. The yurt was incredibly well thought out, with everything you might need: A heater, a fan, a one-burner stove, drinking water, and even a clever sink setup with a spigot and basin. And the outhouse - honestly, I've never wanted to linger in an outhouse before, but this one was so nice! It's beautifully lit up outside after dark, too, including the short path to the outhouse. The owners were so kind - when I had an issue with my motorcycle, they came right out to help. I already want to go back!

The property is definitely relaxing it offered trail, and a fire pit for outside relaxingIt was also very conveniently located near shops and restaurants.We didnt go to Detroit but would have been a quick trip if we had wanted to visit for the afternoon.

Underrated Yurt Experience!

We were very happy with our choice of this yurt and a get away weekend into nature at this Yurt. The check in and out process was easy, they had everything available that you need within arms reach in the yurt! Even outside the yurt the firewood and wagon were super convenient. The land was beautiful and there was plenty of things to see! Would recommend!!

Great stay in Jackson, MI

Delightful, budget-friendly stay in Jackson, Michigan. The property was private, but also conveniently located near town for a quick run to the store. Trails were nice. We also had unique morning visitors - Sandhill cranes! Host was accommodating and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely recommend!

Off the Grid escape

We arrived late Friday night the owners had everything set up for us. This Yurt was a true amazingly experience and for sure will return. Ray and his wife surly have some beautiful decorative ideas. Even the out house was a completely decorative. Very clean and the property was beautiful over looking a pond. Was a perfect get away!!

Above and beyond all expectation. Neat, truly clean including outhouse (nicer than some loos I've seen in peoples houses). Beautiful property, convenient location, wildlife and serenity. Loved every minute of our stay here.

Yurting was amazing!

The yurt is definitely bigger than we expected so that was great! It was very home like and we enjoyed that. The outhouse bathroom was so clean and actually smelled good like fresh cut wood. We actually weathered a pretty decent size storm our first night and it was cool that the yurt held up just like a house would! The property was big and provided privacy. It is close to the interstate so we did hear highway traffic all night but other than that the stay was perfect! We will be making trips back for sure!

Wonderful escape

Spent the weekend here for a birthday and had the most magical time! The yurt was well built and beautifully decorated with a variety of board games to pass the time. We brought some camping stuff with us to fully utilize the outdoor experience and were lucky enough to enjoy several evenings around the fire watching the fireflies in the forest. Highly recommend as a modern step up from the average camping experience. Would love to come back another time and visit the nearby Ive’s Gardens owned by the same family running this listing!

A hideaway from the city

Our trip was everything we needed. A getaway from busy life and some much needed alone time. The yurt was cute and bigger then I thought it would be. The board games provided were a fun touch. The land is beautiful. We saw 7 deer and a few large geese during our stay. The hiking trails on the land were beautiful, following along the natural hills and water. It was crazy to think we were in the middle of a city. We plan on staying again. Thank you so much
