Really nice hotel! Close to the subway with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Very nice staff. Breakfast every morning for an additional charge was very nice. Room was comfortable and quiet.

The room was overall dirty. The bedsheets had a blood stain and I found a lipstick under the bed. The staff was helpful and apologetic about it. I could have had bad luck and maybe this is unusual. The hotel is 20 minutes from pontotcho and other popular areas. There are subway stations 5-10 minutes away. I did not feel I got the value I paid for.

Perfect location. I also really appreciated the allergy signage for breakfast. I have a gluten allergy and found it very hard to eat in Japan but breakfast here was an exception! The public bath was so great after long days on our feet.

We stayed at another hotel in Osaka and in Tokyo, but this was everyone’s favorite. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the public bath was nice, too.

Kyoto style

The Mitsui Garden was a wonderful place to stay. We were walking and touring around Kyoto all day and it was lovely to come home and relax in our room, use the onsen and sneak up to the nearby supermarket for snacks. Great location, lovely staff and a very nice environment.

A bit of walk from nearest train station, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, another bus stop around the corner. They tried to have self check-in system, but not easy to navigate and the web link provided does not work.

Decent hotel but we expected better for the money. Breakfast is expensive and there isn't much there if you're looking for a western meal. Holly's Cafe down the road has options but they take cash only.
