This hotel was very conveniently located near the Kyoto train station which was our means for traveling throughout our 3 week visit to Japan. It was also the largest room of the 6 hotels we stayed in. The room was dated, but we just needed a comfortable bed to sleep in at night and that was provided. Although the bathtub, sink and toilet appeared clean, I was disappointed to find a hair that was not ours on the shower wall, along with a washcloth that was either dirty or stained.

One of the best places to stay for touring Kyoto

A high end hotel for very reasonable price. Professional and friendly staff, comfortable and well equipped and maintained room, very good breakfast with abundant selection provided in a most comfortable and spacious restaurant, easy check-in/out process, conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Additionally, in room massage available for the end of a day filled with exhausting tour activities.

Excellent stay! For the price, I was extremely happy with my room. The room was unexpectedly big for the price. The staff was extremely helpful that one of the men insisted he carry our 6 luggages to the room. Our room was also loaded with toiletries and more than enough towels. I am so happy with Miyako that I am now planning another trip centered around Kyoto and Miyako Hotel.

Felt fancier than places that I have usually stayed. A bell hop for the luggage! A concierge! An amazingly comfortable mattress and sheets. Lovely tub and bathroom. Wonderful service. The train station is right outside so I was worried that it would be pretty noisy but it didn't feel that noisy when I took out my earplugs I could hear people talking outside & the train. But I was able to sleep fine. The $27 breakfast option seemed outrageous but they were plenty of shops right outside to get a more reasonably priced breakfast. The service by the conceirge was so lovely and fabulous! She was super super helpful and nice! All the staff were fabulous. I like that they have an eco Option where you don't have your towels changed every day unless you would like them to be. I also loved having a refrigerator in the room and tea coffee options in the room.

It was really convenient by major train station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Amenities in the hotel were great. My favorite was steamer for clothes. Very helpful. We sent our big luggage from this hotel to another (with fee). I will stay here again.
