One of the best things about staying at this hotel is the breakfast buffet, which is prepared with the Kyoto spirit and lots of love and care. They have a weekly menu, meaning they change what they serve every day. A variety of flavorful selections of Japanese/Kyoto cuisine fill not just your stomach but your heart. The front desk staff were also welcoming and hospitable. The room was not huge but clean, and their comfortably firm mattress guarantees a good night's sleep. I already booked this hotel for my next trip to Kyoto that's happening in a couple of weeks. Oh yes, the super easy access to Kyoto Station is a huge plus, and you'll find an abundance of charming restaurants in the neighborhood. In short, I fell in love with Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto Hachijoguchi.

The hotel was ok, just dont stay on the second floor since you will feel like you are sleeping in a kitchen, a frying fish smell was not pleasant. They changed me to a higher floor, and it was inconvenient to pack and unpack. Staff was really helpful and nice Breakfast was not worth it. They did not even have expresso machine. Microwave in the common area was old and you need like 5 minutes to heat simething but other than that all was good

I LOVED this hotel so much. From the moment I stepped in, the staff were so kind and welcoming. They made sure to greet me every time I walked through the lobby. They provided amazing amenities and the room was lovely. The overall vibe of the hotel was chic and modern. This was a bit more on the quiet side of town which was totally fine with me as there were plenty of dining options steps away from the front door!
