This was a beautiful hotel, impeccably clean, and located along a couple beautiful walking routes along the Thames, as well as near some very cute shops, cafes, and restaurants/bars. Jade at the front desk was so incredibly helpful when I checked in, gave me recommendations for some local spots, and made me feel welcome to the UK. Would definitely recommend staying at the Canary Wharf location!

I was completely disappointed about this hotel. To the point we checked out a day early. The rooms are horrible, nasty scratchy ugly covers over the sofa, lumpy hard pillows and the Reception area was very dusty and dirty. Grumpy, miserable staff who barely looked at you. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The area was quite pleasant and quiet but with easy access to public transport. Check in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond to a minor room issue. Would certainly book again for a future trip to London.

Really enjoyed the stay. Hotel is 10/10 with incredible views of London. There’s not a lot of late night options around but there’s a handful of great restaurants for dinner options. Great stay for O2 arena events.

Nice room no hot water

Room was clean and good facilities but no hot water so could not have a shower after attending a concert or in the morning only a luke warm wash. Our room was on 21st floor although that shouldnt make a difference.

Opportunistic overcharge

I booked the stay for a colleague whose flight was cancelled and hence her arrival delayed by a day. I advised hotels.com who updated the hotel. The hotel advised the room would still be available but we would need to pay the missed night. As a secondary measure I also called the hotel to advise of the delay and was reassured the room would be available but we would be charged for the missed night. Upon arrival my colleague was told the reservation was cancelled and they were fully booked. After discussion a room was found but she was charged 50% more per night than originally booked! I later see they also charged my credit card which secured the booking for the first night too. Hotels.com have simply raised a query on this so I am still waiting to find out if we will be refunded the difference in cost as apparently room rates can change at any time! As a regular hotels.com customer I am shocked by this situation and as a previous customer of this Novotel I would advise caution about their practises as they have clearly seen an opportunity to hike the prices.

The hotel is well situated and looks great. There were issues as the water was cold, the TV did not work, there was only one Tea Bag in a room for 2 and one of the bath towels had black marks on it. I would definitely not stay there again for the price you pay.

Nice hotel and location was perfect for what I needed...was walking distance to where I was coming from and where I needed to be. The room was nice and clean and had excellent views to south of the river. The restaurant had an even better view. I was disappointed with the leisure facilities, in particular the size of the pool...it only took a couple of strokes to get from the top to the bottom. Another downer was the changing facilities...in the ladies changing room there was only a single shower and that was located in the disabled toilet. Obviously, priority is given to disabled people to use the area, but those who are not don't have an alternative (stripping off to shower at poolside isn't really an option 😱). If you are paying them for breakfast, and you want a continental or pancakes, tell them before they swipe your card as they will automatically charge for the full English (which is the most expensive option). Would I stay there again... absolutely - the pluses outweigh the minuses.
