The beds were soooo small. You couldnât even sit down because you would hit your head with the bed above. The least social hostel Iâve ever stayed at. However, it was very clean.
It's a very noisy place, and it's hard to rest at night. Even though the rules say no music or loud noises after a certain time, no one respects them, and they enter shared bathrooms with music that can be heard in every room. An alarm went off in the middle of the night, and no one gave any information, nor did they turn it off quickly. All the doors slam shut.
Good: Friendly and helpful staff; Good environment; Possibility to eat in the pub downstairs; Price; Safe neighbourhood; Close to transport (eg. London Bridge tube station)
Okay for a not-pretentious weekend
Not so good: old building with furniture; toilette (WC) not very clean;
Pleasantly surprised! Would definitely stay again. We stayed in a private double roomnbl with ensuite on top floor. Exceeded all expectations. Great location, close to tube and Borough Market. Only negative was no lift so rooms not accessible or suitable for those with lots of luggage.
