This place needs to be closed down it’s horrendous the bathroom was filthy there’s mould on the ceiling. Spiders all over the walls windows dirty. Looks like some of the bedding had been left from previous person who stayed pillow terrible. Actually quite distressing to stay there.

Bare minimum of you have no other choice

Heating does not turn off, so it's essentialy a sauna. Window only opens a tiny bit. There was mystery water on the bathroom floor at all times, sometimes more, sometimes less, but always water. Stains and smudges on the walls, dust and mould along all surfaces. Toiler felt like it was close to falling off the wall. Mattess very spring-forward and extremely hard uncomfortable pillows. No kettle or cups in room. Only 1 working plug socket.

Unfinished space that needed redecorating and disgusting sink. Will not stay again, especially as the walls are paper thin and I could her the man in the room next door very loudly in the morning, ranting.

The staff working at the desk were very nice, and the central location is perfect. But the hotel was in a state of disrepair. There was a problem with the toilet, where it made a very loud noise for about 10 mins after being flushed. The shower appeared to be broken and there was a piece of cardboard hammered into the wall (assumedly to cover a hole).

As a solo female, older traveller I have stayed in a variety of places and am not too fussy so long as things are clean and the premises are safe. Without doubt, this is the filthiest place I have ever stayed. Where do I start? Mould, filth in the crevises, skirting, walls,. The wardrobe doors SCREWED shut, the bedlights not working, the fan, which did not reach the powerpoint, had about a years worh of dust, to flush the toilet I had yo actually leave the bsthroom and reach over, the curtains were cut-off pieces of frayed mismatched material, The ceiling had dark patches of I know not what, flaking paint around the wooken windows, the bathroom appeated to be a plonked-in pre-fabricated plastic surround wnhich moved whenever I enyered the bathroom. Broken off screws which once held a mirror. But good hotwater in the shower. Stsirwells had loose threadbare varpet snd uneven rickerty boards. Heaters throughout the builing were on so high it felt like a sauna, but did not work in yhe bedroom as the bed was pushed hard against it. No wifi out of the Reception area.No lift, bery precarious stairs. I canno believe this places was passed by the Health Dept. Oh, no cups, no kettle, but a dpider dropped from somewhere onto the bed.

Disappointing stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't be faulted. Reception areas were clean, tidy and comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean, as was bedding. The stay was let down by the condition of the allocated room. The bed mattress was uncomfortable, the sink in the room unusable and dirty. The room was noisy from footfall above. The room is in desperate need to refurbishment, with an ill fitting curtain pole, fraying curtains, worn carpet, peeling/chipped paint and water leak marks on the ceiling that have had poor attempts at painting over. I have seen better hostel rooms. The room did not marry up with images online used to advertise the hotel.

Hotel carpets, walls and doors are old, dirty with scratches. Got to the room and toilet was dirty with residue of sh*t inside and not toilet paper at all. Mattress was very uncomfortable for sleep.

Like a flop house. Bed just wire spring with mattress. Husband slept on the floor. Floors soft and rotting with thin carpeting. Could not open window or adjust temperature. Shower and sink in room smelled like swamp. Had to take paper with us to the toilet down the hall. The staff were pleasant and helpful. But we did not complete the 3 night reservation we had paid in advance.

You get what you pay for. The price was good by London standards and the neighborhood, right by the British Museum, is fine. But the hotel is shabby. My room had a dirty bathroom with a chipped, stained sink, no bathroom amenities except a nearly empty bottle of soap, one bath towel per person (no hand towels or washcloths), no drinking glass, no wastebasket or anything else. Hot water began flowing in the shower about 3-4 minutes after I turned it on. One light bulb was burned out in the ceiling fixture and there was no lamp for the beaten-up desk (I had to move rooms to get a desk at all). A sagging bed, iron clothes rack directly over the head of one bed, spotty internet (front desk said the system is new and still being adjusted), tiny TV with no sign of a remote control, windows that stuck, flimsy door lock (I don't think a woman would be comfortable with that). The people at the desk were kind. At my request, they got me a drinking glass (a glass champagne flute, of all things), more liquid soap, and a wastebasket. I imagine they could have rustled up a TV remote if I'd wanted it. For a single person doing business on a budget in London I guess it's OK (assuming the internet improves). Anyone looking for real comfort, or on a pleasure trip where they'll spend any amount of time in the room, won't find much pleasure here.

DO NOT BOOK HERE- There was black mould EVERYWHERE I couldn’t stop dry heaving. The hotel didn’t care and Expedia also didn’t care to do anything about it. I had to leave and they both refused to refund even tho this hotel is a literal health hazard.
