What a delightfully different hotel! Very clean, comfortable, nice food (only had breakfast) and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Delightfully quirkily decorated which is a nice change.

Nice hotel with quirky rooms and public areas but let down disappointing service. Arrived at 2.20 and was told “Your room isn’t ready, check in is at 3.” Fair enough but I felt like I’d done something wrong for arriving 40 minutes early. Judging by the other people grumbling in the bar I wasn’t the only one who felt like this. On our second day we got back at 6.45 to find that the room hadn’t been made up. I went to tell reception, no apology and was told that the rooms were cleaned between 2pm and 8pm but she would let housekeeping know. Went back after 15 minutes as there was still no sign, still no apology. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where you don’t get your room cleaned until 8pm! When we checked out we didn’t get thanked or asked if we’d had a nice stay. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I won’t be going back

Super quirky hotel, love the multiple nods to its previous incarnation as a public library. Comfy beds, interesting rooms (each inspired by an author). Friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Sadly didn’t get to try the spa, bar or rooftop bar - hopefully next time!

We stayed at the Limehouse Library Hotel for a week and everything was always clean and the staff was very kind and friendly. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel. The hotel was very uniquely decorated, with beautiful plants, art, and rugs. It was very quiet, we never heard another guest or anything from outside. The room was spacious, with lots of storage. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good as well. We chose the option of having breakfast included and it did not disappoint. Homemade bread every morning with delicious eggs, sausage, feta, avocado and fruit. The best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. We also ate dinner there one evening and that was also delicious. While it isn’t in the heart of London, I believe its location made for a very quiet stay, which we appreciated. It was located a 7 minute walk from the Limehouse station and a train leaves every few minutes for Bank station, where you can connect with the underground to any part of London. Its location did not add very much additional travel to our day.

The breakfast was excellent. It was a great location to explore parts of London we had not been to before and this could all be done on foot. Also easy access to Mile End Parkrun on the Saturday morning.

The staff were so welcoming, they gave me a welcome drink and showed me to my room. The decor was really nice, it had a relaxing feel. Breakfast was lovely. I will definitely stay here again.

Loved the common area decor, both artistic and whimsical. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the entire hotel was l littered with antiques, Art and plants. Very esthetically pleasing. Easy access to public transportation. Would definitely return for a stay!

Quirky hotel with lots of interesting features

The hotel is situated on a main road, only a short walk from Limehouse station or bus stops. The reception received was excellent, it is somewhat quirky in that everywhere has various ornaments, items etc on the surfaces. Staff on reception were helpful, even taking me up to my room. The room was clean and comfortable, it was based on The Orient Express, so the bed appeared a little like a couchette, complete with sliding carriage door in the room. The bed was comfortable, however I recommend a sleep mask, the two roller blinds did not make much difference to the light level in the room, I would have expected the second to be a blackout blind. The bathroom was comfortable, there was some attempt at reducing the environmental impact with hand wash and lotion in refillable bottles, however the body wash, and shampoo etc were in individual single use plastic bottles. The breakfast was self service, a good selection, although the jams were somewhat unusual, no recognisable strawberry or raspberry. There were no clear allergen labels which could create a problem for some guests. The tea was in an urn, it was weak but to be fair staff did make me a pot for myself. Overall an excellent stay with only minor areas for improvement that could be considered in future
