The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room and its facilities were disappointing for a 4*. There were hundreds of ornaments etc everywhere, far more than shown on the hotel website. We found it overwhelming and I had my first asthma attack in ages whilst there so we stayed in our room which was a shame as I am a librarian and I’d booked there to explore the quirky interior.

Stepping into Ikea.

Quirky clean hotel but I imagined our room to be like one of the photos, you know a famous character from literature etc but it was none of that. We paid for a deluxe king and when we were shown to our room, I thought we were being shown to the top floor of an ikea showroom; the guy said ‘you are in Greece’ - The bed was laughable for a couple, on the floor and tiny. Bathroom nice though. Many people in the hotel, but all so eerily quiet. Felt a bit like a coralline movie. Sorry guys.

Being fair the hotel is beautiful, the idea is lovely and it’s well presented. Oddly it appears to be in the middle of an area undergoing gentrification so theee re s lots of kebab houses and convenience shops but no restaurants, there is a Tesco and Lidl about 10 mins walk from the hotel. I imagine Thai place is jumping in the summer with the rooftop bar being open. The staff mostly were very courteous, polite and pleasant, however one lady really needs retraining as she was confrontational & rude. I had returned with a friend on Saturday night after having my phone stolen in Soho. He paid for a tax,i I was still in shock and preparing myself for the mammoth task of getting a replacement and accessing accounts. We got back and he asked to charge his phone, reception did lend him a charger and I said did have to start checking ‘find my’ as the police had asked. We were walking down the corridor when the lady on reception shouted after us/me. Confirming I had a single room and there was nowhere for him to stay. I explained he wasn’t staying just charging his phone while I messed around trying to sort this mess out. I was very confused as to why it concerned her at all as I’ve stayed in hotels all across the world and NEVER had anyone query me like this before. I admit it was more than a little embarrassing and really got under my skin. She told me the rooms are for guests only. Honestly wouldn’t recommend it based on this interaction.

The staff was really friendly. However not really attentive or maybe understaffed. I asked about the restaurant and was led into a dining room. I waited around 10 minutes until someone came to take my order. When I went to the spa area there was no one there so I took towels myself. Another guest was also really confused. The turkish bath was not usable. In general the spa is underwhelming.

Friendly hotel, exceptionally well maintained. Easy to reach from Limehouse station, with good connections into central London or Canary Wharf. Each room is different and common areas are uniquely decorated, a good change from the big chain hotels. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

Very fun quirky stay

Very fun hotel well worth a visit, the spa is fantastic to escape the world. Only a couple of points like the room run over didn’t leave enough towels or re stock the coffee, but over all a great hotel. I will be back

A really nice stay as always but I am very annoyed and frankly shocked that, when asking months in advance for an accessible room for elderly and infirm family, I was messaged only a couple of days before the stay to say we needed to pay £40 extra per room per night for that - I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to penalise someone for their disability. If it isn’t it’s completely immoral and it made me think twice about bothering to book there again. I always recommend friends to stay there but that is going to change after this.

It was a lovely hotel beautiful inside service was amazing, but what I really struggled with was the noise traffic it wasn’t that bad I didn’t like was the room was very hot but the air-conditioning was not remote controlled so getting out of bed all the time was a pain. Also there was a low humming noise coming from condensing units or another room air-conditioning, which I really struggle to sleep and only got about two hours.
