They got bed bugs in the mattress.
No locks on windows
Dirty. I tried to get a refund due to the bed bugs. They refused. Manager said they one they had that problem but that the owner won’t do nothing about it
Property was closed and Expedia was the worst to deal with with this situation. It’s almost been three months since I tried to get my refund back and I’m still to this day Haven’t received a refund. I do not recommend Expedia for anything.
Always good until I showed up at the hotel when I noticed the lady was looking me up and down I showed my ID was waiting for my room and then she informed me that I'm on the DNR list I don't know what the DNR list is but she tells me I'm on it and that from the last time I stayed there now I've never stayed at this hotel the highland hotel on Van nuys or in Van nuys but I became on a do not rent list for damages done to a room that I previously rented at some point that they say I did and I for sure tell you I never rented there and I don't understand how I became on a DNR list but anyhow they denied me my room and hotels.com couldn't come up with a reason to give me back my money because see the room was paid with the social security debit card and which can't receive any kind of deposit on it from anything even a refund and so the money didn't get refunded the room never got slept in and we were stuck on the street all night long where there was no way we could be in the worst because we could not get a room and my phone when I was almost had it taken care of with the lady at hotels.com my phone died and when I called when I got my phone charged I was informed that they couldn't refund me or give me another room because it was now the next day after check out time so I didn't have a stay except we're on the street where was cold and me and my girl and I don't know what else to say it was the highland hotel thought I was a homeless person
As soon as I arrived I realized I made the wrong reservation. Area looks unsafe with homeless people around smoking drugs and screaming in front of motel. Probably the reason why staff is on edge. Room is pretty basic, no hangers or any place to hang towels least your clothes. I booked couple of nights opting to pay at office. There is no office or lobby you check in through a window, I wanted to pay with credit and was asked for card and PIN number, I refused and ended up paying cash due to the thin glass slot. Not a safe and welcoming environment.
