I enjoyed my stay up until the last day of checking out. The receptionist named Jamar was very rude and inconsiderate. He told me there is a charge on my account for a bottle of wine that I did not order. He said there is nothing he could do and I can’t check out if I don’t pay for the bottle of alcohol. He refused to get a manager to help me and walked away after I told him I wouldn’t pay. I was late for my airport shuttle so my friend had to pay the charge for me. He then refused to give me the receipt I needed to board the shuttle to the airport. This left a very bad taste in my mouth and not sure I want to go back to this hotel.

The entire experience was disappointing. Hotel is far from luxury for anyone who has experienced true luxury resorts and service. Messages were never returned, requests were not fulfilled on even acknowledged and the service and hospitality was brutal. Most staff gave the impression that they were annoyed, uninterested and plain rude!!! Weather and ground were pretty good and so was spending time together with my husband. Other than that, keep you standards LOW!

The view from our sea view deluxe suite balcony was amazing. Would not recommend getting a room with a view facing the highway. Extremely noisy on that side. Hot tub in room would not drain properly. Weird holes and cracks in the ceiling. Food was not good. The nearest KFC was the best thing to eat. The juzzis poolside were not heated and the pool was only open until 6pm which was absolutely ridiculous for an adults only resort. Staff were hit or miss. Some were really cool and helpful and some were just plain rude for no reason. Overall it was an okay trip, but if you want a better resort quality trip I'd stay away from Jamaica altogether.

My husband and I went here for a 5-day getaway. It was just beautiful, and we cannot wait to go back. The staff and the Jamaican people in general are so warm and welcoming. The hotel is everything we could have asked for and more. Great pools, great beach, great food.....just an overall wonderful vacation.

Mr. Atentamente, thank you for the opportunity to review my stay April 25-27, 2025 at Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay - Adults Only - All Inclusive. I apologize for replying to your invitation to me in Spanish in my native English language. Overall, the conditions of your pristine property, our contemporary suites, and the global cuisine in the restaurants were outstanding—especially Takara and the Jazmin Buffet. As for services, at all places and times, each staff member was friendly and considerate. However, not everything was perfect. First, I booked and paid online for two suites, but your website would permit me to check in and make a la cart restaurant reservations online in advance for only one suite, not both. None of my texts, chats and phone calls to you about this problem were returned. I was relieved when those failures were resolved promptly by staff members upon my arrival. Second, the nightly "music" and other entertainment at the pool were so loud and painful, I had to stay away from the pool, and I needed ear plugs to get to sleep in our suite. While annoying, I don't want to overemphasize these two issues. They were small blemishes on an otherwise wholly pleasant experience at Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay - Adults Only - All Inclusive. Thank you. John Rosenbaum, Naples, Florida.

It’s an all inclusive resort close to Ocho Rios town center with lots of excursions options offered. Stayed at the resort for a week and was able to avail my VIP access upgrade and was grateful to get a good ocean and pool view- good size room with balcony- thanks for the upgrade. The hotel staff were very pleasant, respectful, polite and friendly with few exceptions grouchy, well you can find it anywhere. The place was well maintained, always find someone cleaning. The resort has different dining options buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner with lots of food choices as well as the fine dining for dinner with reservations required. I wasn’t able to get reservations for the Italian and the steak place that I want. The Mikado Japanese cuisine I wasn’t informed that I have to ask for hibachi when you make dinner reservation. Out of the five restaurants I dined only 2 stand out the Picasso. I had lamb chuck great taste nicely seasoned and good serving. The Mikado even if it wasn’t Hibachi overall it’s fine and the Radizio except for the lamb it’s smelly. The rest needs work on meat preparation and cooking hard to chew and Chinese place should serve hot soup not cold or lukewarm. The bar staff were great very friendly and quick with giving drinks both in poolside/beach a lobby bar. Overall the resort was good and enjoyed my stay. FYI!! the beach pass the Grand Bahia is nice with fine sand, not rocky with variety of colorful fish. Walk all the way to the last bar-the bend.
