The owners have put a lot of work into this hotel. The only thing it needs is a ceiling fan in each room, especially the rooms on the ground floor. You can't open the windoes for security reasons.
My husband and I enjoyed our visit. The location is great and the room was super cute. Very clean and Seema was a great host- friendly and available by text for any questions. Looking forward to visiting again.
Great views
Nice quiet location close to Manresa state beach
Large rooms
- Bath tub not clean to use
- No in-room amenities ... at all! No coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, not even a cup for water. These were available in the shared kitchen downstairs but left out unwrapped; given no running water in the kitchen (no sink!), this felt unhygienic.
- For the price, given lack of amenities and other options in the area, would not return
Sheets had several hairs on sheets.
We were told to get clean sheets that also had hair and a huge stain on the pillow.
Rest of the room was not very clean including stains on seat cushion.
Feedback was given to the place.
They informed me to tell you they are allowing 50% off of our stay due to inconvenience. I was to let you know and you (expedia) would contact them directly
To have this taken care of.
Please advise.
Thank you,

This property is gorgeous and a short walk to the beach. My room and the common areas were very clean and nicely decorated. This was my first time at a bed and breakfast and I wasnât sure what to expect, especially during covid. The contactless check in was easy, however it was a little strange being alone in that house, unsure of how safe/ secure it was at night.
I stayed in the poppy room. I could not get the fire place to work despite following the instructions to a T. I also could not get the bathtub faucet to turn on. I was disappointed in that.
Overall itâs a gorgeous place for a getaway and a perfect location if youâre a beach lover like me
Good looking place, classical in a way.
Not a good place to spend a quiet night. The walls are paper thin, therefore at night you'll get the feeling that a baby making factory is in full swing - as soon as one is consummated another would start. In addition to that, the front door makes a sound every time its opened, a loud mechanical sound. Really annoying when people are going in and out to the cars.
The bed (at least ours downstairs) is hard as a brick. I've heard about firm but this one takes the cake. Lastly, do remember to bring your tablet or computer to entertain yourself at night. The TV and "Cable" is extremely basic.
The tennis courts are nice. The breakfast is nice too.
Quaint, comfortable, relaxing stay. It's surrounded by agricultural land so in the morning you might be woken up by tractors, but the sound insulation is quite good.
My wife and I live in Santa Cruz, but lived in La Selva Beach before that. We wanted to get away for the night and visit our old neighborhood. We found this rental and were surprised to find it's great proximity to the beach, but it's surrounded by farmlands. It's very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely adored meeting and speaking to the new owner. They have a lot on their plate but seem to be handling it well. The house itself is in a beautiful location and is very peaceful. The rooms feel dated and lacking some basic amenities- bedside table and lamp. The staircase had some animal droppings (mice?)
Excellent and quick communication đ
Once staff found out we had a service dog the room became booked and they said Expedia should never have allowed us to book it. Then they told Expedia that there was sewage leak and that's why the room was unavailable. Would never even risk going there again. Luckily after an hour and a half of being in the phone with Expedia support, they found us a great room at hotel pacific in Monterey.
