This hotel is just average in every way. We stayed here because it was close to our daughter’s home which we were visiting. It’s pretty run down with not much attention paid to caring about that. It is clean and that’s a plus. The pillows are lumpy and very uncomfortable.

Seems like the perfect spot to get exactly what you need. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and super tidy every single day. Lots of fresh air and natural light from plenty of windows in the room. Parking was also a breeze and the location of the Lodge in relation to food, beaches, Highway 1, and everything in between was stellar -- no more than 5-10 minutes in any direction. And the mattress was super comfy, too. My only critiques are that the pillows could definitely use some updating, along with the bed frame which was comically squeaky and loud at times. There could definitely be some more decor in the rooms to make them feel more 'home-y', but that's personal preference. And while all the rooms and facilities are non-smoking, our neighbor was outside most nights smoking away -- I don't care if someone smokes or not, but the smell absolutely seeped into our room on multiple occasions, even with the windows and door shut. All in all, its a cute little spot in the heart of the action. You get exactly what you need and nothing more. Even with my few gripes, we would absolutely stay here again!

Definitely enjoyed staying here over the Easter holidays. Staff was helpful, room was clean, quite at night and close to Hwy 1. This is a place where I will come back to stay.

Always clean and spacious! I love the roome layout, the table is perfectly sized for two person possibly three, sit down meal. Along with the desk chair combo, they furniture is well dispersed and sized for the room. I find that other places tend to cram in a table between the bed and window/ac unit, but there must of been a good 6 feet gap in our room. Good water pressure, nice sliding door/walk in shower, will book again!

Good Place to Stay

Got the room with the hot tub, which was nice! Everything was very clean and in good working order. Did not visit the patio area/fire pit. It's a good place to crash at the end of the day, nothing fancy, not walking distance to Monterey attractions and no ocean view, but the price was definitely right if you aren't wanting to pay the premiums for those things. There's a Denny's just up the street, which is convenient.
