The property was nice, breakfast was great and cheese and wine hour was awesome! But the room had NO a/c, not even a fan mode.. only heat, was extremely noisy w people walking around loudly in the middle of the night every couple hours, loud doors slamming and people in hallway, didnt sleep but 2 hours off and on.

A beautiful old house for a facade. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had fireplace and a small balcony that let you enjoyed the cool breeze of the bay. Great value and just a short walk to Cannery row. Wine and cheese hour a plus!

Great Place to Stay In Monterey

My wife and I spent 3 nights here and loved our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The location is great with lots of things to do within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a good breakfast, although the room is a bit small which wasn't a problem when we were there, but I can imagine being a problem in busier seasons. The pilot light on the fireplace was making a bad noise on our second night there, but they sent a maintenance worker over quickly upon request to take care of the problem. We appreciated their quick response to our complaint. We'd stay here again for sure.

A good option

It was comfortable and I slept well which ranks this very highly on the main criterion. It was a little dated and the online projection was a little different to the actual place but one can't hold that against a business. It was very well located. The dining room was very dark.

Great Walkable Hotel

This was our first time at the Victorian, a few friends of ours have stayed here before and recommended it to us. We had such a great time here - quiet property, but very walkable area. The complimentary wine and cheese nights and the breakfasts were easily the best part of the stay, though the rooms were also spacious and comfortable. We will be coming back!
