Portofino I 1428 is an ocean front 4 bedroom home conveniently located in Garden City Beach, SC about 1 mile from the pier, food, amusements and more! Approximately 1800 square feet and accommodating 12, there are 3 full baths, WIFI, washer/dryer, full kitchen, covered and screened porches, plus it's small dog friendly! Enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds, wooded beach dune walkover and seasonally heated outdoor community pool! Sorry, no smoking allowed.

Oceanfront complex of 10 homes with community pool and landscaped common grounds. The community pool will be heated starting April 1 through the last Saturday in May. In the fall the pool will only be heated the month of October, when temperature falls below 80 degrees. Pool heat is not maintained by Dunes Realty and no refunds will be given should the heater fail.

Great location

The house was adequately furnished and a prime location! Seconds to the beach and private pool! The cleaning service was not very good! The house hasn’t been deep cleaned in a while. There was mold and dust behind the bathroom door that had been there for sometime. The showers had not been cleaned from previous guest, ie; sand in showers. The items that were on top of the refrigerator were covered in greasy dust. There were dog toys and chews under the furniture. If the house had been clean it would be the perfect place to get away!

Great place, needs deep cleaning!

The grounds are clean and well kept. The pool was awesome and clean. The location was perfect but we were less than satisfied with the cleanliness. We had two children barely walking and on the floor a lot. Their hands, feet and knees were black within minutes. Housekeeping refunded our cleaning fee and offered to come back but we had already purchased a swiffer mop and cleaned the floors. All this place would need is a good, deep cleaning and maybe some paint and it would be perfection! This was not a Covid-cleaned place. Still, we enjoyed our stay and had fun, we just won’t stay in this unit again and will not recommend to others.

Great location, nice home. Needs cleaning!!

We had a nice week with family. The house is in great location. We loved that. And it is a really nice house. However the house was dirty. Living room sofa was really dirty and smelled. There was so much mildew on the sliding doors and shower doors. The back porch was full of sand. Refrigerator was really dirty when we got there. I had to clean the kitchen before we could use it. However, housekeeping came immediately when we called them and gave us a housekeeping credit. They were very understanding. It is a beautiful property. Just needs a good cleaning and a little repair work. With that, it would be a great property!!!!

Great location and views , laid-back atmosphere in a house that needs updating

We have enjoyed our week-long stay at the beach, with constant ocean waves in the background, and there was plenty of space for our group of 6 and an infant in the house. The location is superb, and we enjoyed sunrises every morning from either our balcony or a short walk to the beach. We are unlikely to return, however, because the house, although cleaned thoroughly, is tired and furniture is worn and couches have stains. Kitchen floor tiles were cracked, kitchen cabinets' paint peeling, pots and pans scratched.. Towels were the worst - thin and gray - bring your own! We were surprised there was no even a basic stock of salt and pepper available, and we had to buy toilet paper because the rolls when we got there were not full. Upper balcony rails and chairs were covered in bird poop and we did not get to enjoy the views from there as much. If you don't care about the wear and tear as long as the house is clean, this is the place to be!

Fantastic Get Away!

This beach house made me want to sell my house and move. It was just paradise and the cleanliness meant a lot during covid. The view was spectacular!
