Situated along the Chesapeake Bay, it features a mix of residential properties ranging from quaint beach cottages to modern condominiums. The neighborhood offers an array of recreational opportunities, including beaches, parks, and boating facilities, making it popular among outdoor enthusiasts. Step out of your door and relish in the fact that this home is situated along the ocean front. Here, you will find diverse dining options, shops, and services, fostering a convenient and lively environment. Locals and visitors alike enjoy outdoor activities including dolphin watching, beach front dining, and listening to live music at Ocean View Beach Park.

Getting Around:
You will find the most convenient way to commute in this area is by car. Personal vehicle is best, and there are plenty of ride shares and taxis available. East Ocean View is a residential neighborhood with relatively limited public transportation options, so having a car allows for easy access to local amenities, parks, and the beach. Biking is also popular due to the flat terrain and scenic routes along the waterfront. Walking is practical for short distances, especially in the community's more pedestrian-friendly sections. The beach is right outside of your door, cars needed there!

Other Things to Note:
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:

1) Our properties are protected by Truvi. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by Truvi directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.

2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.

For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.

Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.

What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.

4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.

5) Please inquire in advance about parking spaces. Please note that neither Sojourn nor the property owner shall be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to the vehicle or any personal property therein, nor for any injury to the driver, passengers, or any other person, arising out of or in connection with the use of the parking space. Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.

6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.

Very clean and very nice, really nice kitchen and bath. Smallish bedroom but clean and comfortable, parking was tight. A few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. We would definitely come back!

Apartments was rather small but clean. Photos and desriprion didnt describe the unit as being beside the main street instead of close to the beach, this caused a lot of traffic being heard. The grill and such are at the main building not suite 7. Host was very attentive when i sent messages. Would suggest some throw rugs on the floor to prevent the spread of sand throughout the unit. Extra towels would be a plus.

Property is very small, not good for a long stay. Couch is too small for 2 adults to sit, shower is too small, no space in the bedroom, and no curtains on the windows. Great for a day or 2, but not for long trips. Only given 2 towels for 2 adults staying 6 days, no extra washcloths available. Unit is also in the parking lot, not in the actual home thats advertised.

Private Suite with beach access

We had an enjoyable stay for a few days in the east beach section of Norfolk. The unit is modern and has new amenities. There are a few minor issues - the parking is tight especially if you have a larger car. We also would have liked more bath towels and a broom to sweep up any sand. We didn’t cook but would have needed more supplies if we wanted to make a meal.

We were disappointed that this unit did not have the outdoor space that was in the photos and on the list of amenities. Antoine was so helpful in trying to find an alternative but there unfortunately wasn’t anywhere for us to move to.

Nice & Clean Property

Very cute and clean property. We really enjoyed that it was a standalone building. I brought my two giant breed dogs and being in a more secluded rental went really well with them. Inside was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had the basic items you’d need (plates, bowls, mugs, cups, cutlery, some cooking utensils, a coffee pot, some pots and pans). The bathroom had towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The rental also included 2 beach chairs for guest use, which was great. Our one “complaint” would be that there aren’t any hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on after use. This specific unit does not have an ocean view, but still a very short walk to the beach itself. The parking lot is rather small, we had a full size truck and it took some maneuvering to get in and out of our assigned spot. Nothing major, just something to think about if you have a larger vehicle. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book here again.

Quality rental on the water

Short but Suite

The property was cute, contemporary and clean. The kitchen lacked anything aside from absolute basics. We usually bake off a simple dessert and have come to appreciate a little more in the way of some of those items when we travel. Had we known in advance we would have brought a brownie pan. We also appreciate if there are some ways to set left overs aside (baggies, foil, plastic wrap). There were none of these items. This unit sat furthest from the beachfront on the property and was very close to a busy road. For our short stay we were not offended by road noise, but if you're a light sleeper...The walk to the beach at the back of the property took all of 30 seconds and offered what felt like a nice private section of the beach to sit and read. If we head back to the area again, we'd gladly stay at this property, but we might look to the units that face the ocean and are further from the road. Bring your own baking pan!

Super clean

Great little place for one or two people. It does set right on the road with lots of traffic but clean, well decorated with all that you need. Close to the beach. Loved that it had beach chairs & beach towels.
