Overall great place! Not at all a party place. If you’re looking for a nice vacation that’s 55+ than this is for you!! My husband and are I not even 30 yet and felt alittle out of place. We really enjoyed the relaxing pool! Staff was excellent on service and/or whatever we needed. By far the best resort food we’ve had! This resort offers multiple restaurants and food options throughout of the day until evening, including room service! We loved the variety! This resort does offer an elite club upgrade (think VIP). From what I heard and saw from others it didn’t seem to be worth. They do have their own beach area, access to their own bar/coffee shop, and restaurant. They are allowed to make reservations for restaurants while other members are not! Overall a great place to stay! Would recommend if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing trip with no kids!

Room was great. The ocean view room was fantastic. The staff was kind, energetic and accommodating. It’s a pretty quiet relaxed resort. A big shout out to Wilbur at the pool bar, the best bartender!!

The room was comfortable, the location was great — overall, it’s a beautiful property with friendly staff. Food & Restaurants - The food was just okay. I expected more variety and better taste. - Buffet service depends on the waiter — some are very nice, others less so. - The Steakhouse is hard to get into, with long lines, and unfortunately the food wasn’t worth the wait. - The Italian restaurant was probably the best dining option. - Drinks were good. - The piano player in the lobby sings and plays very well — a really nice touch in the evenings. Entertainment - The shows were just average. Beach - We were lucky to have calm water and could swim. - Right after the hotel’s beach chairs, there’s a sign that says “RIU Hotel Property Limit.” Beyond that sign, the public area is occupied by horses and their owners. The smell of horse urine near the water is overwhelming, especially if you want to be closer to the water and makes it hard to enjoy the shoreline. - On the positive side, you can rent kayaks and catamarans, which is great. Shops & Services - The small shop on-site is convenient, but be careful: we bought a ball for $15 and were charged twice, with the second charge being $101. I’d recommend paying in cash. - The beach massage service was good and reasonably priced. Transportation: you walk to the reception, and they always have cars ready and waiting. no need to book anything online in advance if you’re going from hotel somewhere including airport.

We had partial ocean view but major construction going on so noisy on balcony. The food in main dinning room was excellent with great variety. The pools themselves were small and not impressive. However property close to beach so sat in the beach.

We had a very good experience in this hotel. The only reason for lower rating was the experience checking out. Our only luggage was loaded on a wrong taxi. Luckily one of us was outside to notice the mistake at the last moment. We managed to get the luggage out but the staff was rude, trying to blame us for their omission. Nobody apologized and even the manager on duty Sandra did nothing. It was very stressful, unpleasant end of our vacation. Be careful leaving your luggage at the concierge before departure.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in November 2025. Checkin was painless. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the three pools onsite. The drinks were delicious, and the food was really good. We are vegeterian, and found many options to choose from everyday. The beach was clean and beautiful, just be aware on sea serpents. Pay attention to the flags posted by the beach. The great thing is this was adults only, and the smoking areas are away from guests, so this was really enjoyable. There is entertainment by the pool, but if you want peace and quiet I suggest the pool with loungers. There were foam parties which looked fun, they had games you could play for a price. Overall it was a great relaxing trip, and we would return. Highly recommended.

I love staying at Riu properties as they are always clean with great amenities and staff. The rooms are a fabulous size and very comfortable.

Communication in Restaurants is poor, lunch and dinner is not good for 5 star resort , no taste at all, we all had a stomach problem all of us and my friends too
