I flew in for a convention and had meetings scheduled in the afternoon.
Despite having hashed out details for an early check-in (2 pm) days in advance, the hotel clerk feigned ignorance when I arrived at 2:40 after a delayed flight, saying they don’t do early check-ins, and wouldn’t accommodate my request. He refused to even look at the proof (a conversation I had with the hotel via hotels.com’s chat feature). He just kept repeating “check-in is at 3.”
I had to wait for them to finish cleaning a room before I could check in at their “regular check in time” of 3 pm.
The hotel clerk was rude and got annoyed when I asked him to explain why I was expected to pay both a $100 deposit and a $200 deposit. After his non-answer, I still didn’t understand it and just signed whatever he asked so I could get on with it and make my meeting on time.
Once I got to the room, it smelled horrible and there was toilet paper jammed in the peephole in the door.
The bathroom is tiny - I couldn’t fit inside if I closed the door.
The iron was dirty and needed to be wiped off before I could iron my clothes.
The neighborhood was pretty sketchy.
And upon check-out, despite the printed notice in the room that the front desk is open 24 hours a day, the door was locked when I went to check out at 6:20 AM, no one was visible, and there was no doorbell, so I had to knock on the door for the same rude man to greet me with a scowl.
I would not recommend this place.
