Amazing location
The location of this apartment is amazing. It is situated on Rue de Abbesses which is one of the main avenues of Monmartre with all of the fabulous shops and restaurants. Walkable to everything. The apartment is located at ground level within an off-street courtyard and therefore is pretty private. That said, there are no views from apartment as there are only a couple windows looking out into the courtyard itself (which is not that scenic). But the location more than makes up for the lack of windows/views. As for the apartment itself, it was comfortable and as advertised and tidy. Useable kitchen with most items you’ll need. We had to buy paper towels as there were none provided, but no bid deal as there was a market just down the street. The two bedrooms were comfortable with good mattresses and adequate pillows. Be warned: there is no AC in the apartment. There are multiple oscillating fans. But if you’re staying here in the height of the hot season, the lack of AC could be a problem. We got lucky on the heat. For us, the biggest issue with the apartment was an unpleasant odor emanating from the washing machine closet (note: there appears to only be a washing machine and no dryer). It was a cross between a sour and sulfur smell that unfortunately permeated the entire apartment. There was also some evidence of water damage in the toilet closet. We dealt with the issue be buying some air freshener spray at the local market - which definitely helped.
