Ladies weekend

The hotel is beautiful but old. It needs work. Updating bathrooms with showers instead of a bath. Very hard for people with knee and hip problems have trouble getting in and out of the tub. Also need security bars installed in bathtub. No fan in the bathroom. Carpets should be replaced with flooring. Other than that, great hotel. It is our go to place when we go to Quebec.

Very clean hotel and rooms. Staff are responsive and friendly. Would have rated this 5 star across the board except for a couple of things: on one housekeeping service, they failed to replenish toilet paper so I had to intercept a housekeeper in the hallway; second thing is that some of the rooms need touching up on things like peeling wallpaper.

Beds were comfy and our room was very spacious (family members’ room much less so). Got a kick out of the wine dispenser in the hall. And yes, used it. You need a special card FYI. On site dining was okay. Staff good but our room was consistently not made up until late afternoon which was inconvenient after being out all day and wanting to rest and clean up before dinner.

The Hotel Chateau Laurier was an excellent hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Tons of restaurants within walking distance and the port and lower area within the Citadel walls is only a short walking distance away. Our room was on the Plains of Abraham side and we had a wonderful view of the park. The hotel was very clean and the room was large and comfortable. 5 out of 5 stars all around.
