This is a very unique property!! This hotel is a section of a functioning monastery and historic hospital. Rooms are tastefully modern nestled along hallways of religious artifacts. The front door/main entrance is just up the hill from the train station. The back entrance is steps away from the main tourist streets of the area.

I stayed four nights in this wonderful historic property right in the heart of the old city of Quebec. I chose one of the authentic rooms and was very comfortable. The whole place was welcoming and peaceful. The shared washrooms were bright and clean, and I never had an issue where there wasn't one available when required. The staff were friendly and helpful with information. I would definitely stay here again.

Hidden treasure !! Loved the QUIET..!!, excellent rooms and bathroom, the breakfast is AMAZING....& GREAT COFFEE. Very walk-able within the Old Quebec City...did not need a car for what we wanted to experience. The Promenade, Chateau Frontenac, Citadel, walk top of citadel walls, amazing restaurants which we need to return to try more! Book a private walking tour....early...certainly helps with orientation & history. Hotel des Augustines is ..actually....perfect.

It had the peacefulness and hushed aura of a monastery with a church attached and religious portraits and statuary. It was a gorgeous space with a garden and sitting area and the best breakfast I have eaten in a while, which was included. The room had easy access to heat or air conditioning, Bathroom and shower were shared but it was the best shower facility of the four I experienced this past week In Canada. It is conveniently close to everything. I will make a point of staying here again when I return to Quebec City. It is a remarkable place in every way.

This location is pretty central to everything in the upper level of Quebec City. Just a block or two up a slight hill and then you are near all the shops, restaurants, and most of the main attractions. The staff was nice and accommodating and it was quiet but comfortable.
