We had a lovely stay at the hotel exploring the historic displays. It is close to shops, restaurants and the train station. We would recommend it to anyone coming to Quebec City.
Better than any hotel or Airbnb Iâve stayed at. My room was very comfortable and peaceful. The food was delicious. I enjoyed learning the history and look forward to returning. Merci beaucoup! Tres bien!!
We had a fabulous stay. The space is beautiful and peaceful. We truly felt like we had a break from the day to day stress while staying in Quebec city. We cant wait to come back.
Such a different amazing way to stay for sleep! Artifacts and history shown all over (every floor, hallway, room).
Great staff! A bit of a maze to meander through from Entrance to the Room
I stayed four nights in this wonderful historic property right in the heart of the old city of Quebec. I chose one of the authentic rooms and was very comfortable. The whole place was welcoming and peaceful. The shared washrooms were bright and clean, and I never had an issue where there wasn't one available when required. The staff were friendly and helpful with information. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a very unique property!! This hotel is a section of a functioning monastery and historic hospital. Rooms are tastefully modern nestled along hallways of religious artifacts. The front door/main entrance is just up the hill from the train station. The back entrance is steps away from the main tourist streets of the area.
If you are looking for a quiet, restful, reset experience, this is the place to be. The contemporary room with the king bed was very comfortable, the robes and signature scent (1639) when you enter the room makes you breathe deeply and relax instantly. The silent breakfast was refreshing, and nourishing. Highly Recommend booking a spa service, especially with Manon. She has healing hands, very intuitive to what areas need additional work and care.
The hotel is very comfortable and the history is impressive. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is steps away from Rue St Jean so food and sightseeing options were very good! The onsite museum is very informative and well curated - do that! The dinner at Savior is buffet and very vegetable focused so perhaps spend your dining dollars elsewhere for the value unless you are interested in holistic dining. Housekeeping missed us after 3 days and I had to ask for towels 2 xs. I think hotels use conservation as reason for scaling back housekeeping but i think its more labor than water use savings personnally and it detracts from the experience. Other than that - beautiful and special property with a staff less customer focused than many properties. I would still recommend a stay here for healing and/or to enjoy the beauty and food of old Quebec. Merci!
